Hopefully he's been coached enough to be able to understand "ONE" passing play.

If you watched Sheps highlight film from HS. Youd understand that he is most dangerous running the football when he's in a passing situation.

Once that defense is spread out, he's an absolute terror in the open field. But as long as the teams know there is no chance he will pass the ball, they will just crowd the line.

So yes, we want him to run it. But the threat of passing the ball has to be there.

Yeah, I'm sure that a coach that has a national championship under his belt, that has been coaching in college and the pros for more than two decades and who is in the preeminant league in college football has decided to NOT coach his top QB recruit "ONE" passing play.

Did you stop to think that they may just "NOT" want him to throw, that "THAT" aspect of his game is not needed right now and that maybe...JUST MAYBE these guys actually know what the frick they're doing, and that you, sitting at home...has no clue?

Just because the coaches don't use a player the way that YOU would like them to be used, that doesn't mean that he's not being coached properly.

hit the wrong button, sorry. this is it, ladies and gentlemen. Russel Shepard will indeed throw a pass against Bama. He's ready and it will happen. We are going to set this up so it will count big time. TD. yep. gonna happen.

I honestly don't think he'll play against Bama. I look for another ultra conservative gameplan since Bama's offense blows. I think they'll try to keep it close until the 4th quarter and try to steal the game. Just like the Florida game, Shep sits the bench in this one.

Hey Rummel simmer down buddy. No need to get your panties in a wod. This is A "message/discussion board".

I used that specific play on words about coaching with alot of sarcasm because Miles vaguely states in every interview that this guy or that guy isnt "ready" yet. Sure it can be the coaches, sure it can be the player. Im sure Shep knows/understands plenty of passing plays. Im sure he was coached well in those regards. I just think "one" passing play really cant hurt all that bad. Chances are, he'd tuck it a run anyways.

What, my panties are in a wad because I completely disagree with your opinion?

And, yes...this is a message board. Which is exactly why I posted my thoughts.

Miles is vague for a reason, he has been that way since he got here. He does it to frick with the competition. As a fan, you can't buy into everything that Miles says.

And how do you know that scenario hasn't been played out this year?

So by that notion, we should get Jefferson into the games, let him make a few passing plays but never let him throw it down field. Why change what he's been doing the short passes all year.

As far as Shep goes, his role has been expanding every week. He's a QB/RB/WR. What other player on our team has had to change his role that much. Maybe Trindon. Remember, Shep is a QB. How about "one" passing play for the QB. Thats all.

Why would you let him throw against Bama...the best defense we'll probably face all season?

This quote seems a little angry and bitter is all. Maybe its the profanity. Maybe, its the fact that you make a comment about me "not having a clue". I dont know, seems like a bit of a personal attack. Thats why I said dont get your panties in a wad.

Because, they havent seen this play nor a player like this all season.

Like I stated earlier, If nobody is open, he can still tuck it and run.

If he throws it I hope it's off a reverse. Or a flea-flicker

I DO think we see a pass vs. Bama. No one is expecting it and why it WILL go for 7.
