So, Saturday night I was standing up to watch an important play early in the game and I hear a "down in front" from 2 rows back..I almost lost it but just turned around and gave the dude a stare. My friend was not so calm, he decided to flip the guy off causing a scene during the game..Has this happened to anyone else at a big game in tiger stadium? WTF are some of these people thinking.

Some people need to realize they are in Tiger Stadium and not their living rooms. If you want to sit the entire game, stay home on your couch.

I don't think that I've necessarily been told something. But there is often an awkwardness. I like to stand and cheer (actually scream), especially for big plays like 3rd downs and such.

But there are an awful lot of people who just wanna keep sitting. Sometimes I find myself standing but kind of crouching down which probably actually satisfies neither - I'm not screaming at my max level and the people sitting in back of me probably still can's see well.

I'm not sure what the proper ettiquite is on this. We need a miss manners ir Mr. Manners for The Rant to straighten this out. But who?

Sounds like you caught a glimpse of me, then wisely decided not to proceed with physicality.

Smart move, son.

Just stay home tough guy. Tiger Stadium isn't a church.

the same guys that told us to sit down were the same guys that yelled put Jarrett Lee in when JJ was sacked at some point in the second half.

If nobody was standing in front of you there was no reason to stand.

I'd turn around and give him a little look and a chuckle, then keep on standing and cheering. I don't stand the entire game but if its a big 3rd down or a big play I'm standing and could care less if you have a problem with it.

I ignore them the first time I hear this and then turn around and tell them to STFU if it happens again. All of the regulars around me lend support so it has not been an issue

Yea, i wish the whole stadium followed this philosophy and wouldn't show any emotion when big plays occurred. Football games would be so much fun!

No need to stand the whole game. AND if you plan to sit the whole game stay home or sit at the tailgate & watch on TV.

Rising to cheer or scream for a big play or 3rd down on defense is expected.
