USC No. 5 and LSU No. 9????

Didn't we beat a team convincingly that beat USC???
Didn't our only loss come from the #1 Team in the country???
How in the hell is USC ranked that High???
I know I know it doesn't matter but can anyone tell me what the hell justifies this???
Help me understand this?

They also have 3 quality wins. Cal, ND, tOSU.

We are not the media darlings that USC or bama is. We've been on top for a while and many around the country seem to be sick of it.

They're USC dude! Everybody loves them. They only gave up 36 points and 429 yards to Oregon St.

Just look at it this way. If we win out (which would be what we need to do to have the end up ahead of a 1 L USC team) then we would have beaten #2 Bama and probably #1 Florida...If that happens we are in the NC anyway. So these rankings DO NOT matter right now.
And another thing...USC will lose to Oregon next week anyway.

i watched the end of the Oregon St. game and the announce said at the end dont over near win against ND this team is real..yea they squandered one out against os so powerful Oregon st. give me a break

I have been asking myself that question for 3 weeks.
How in the frick can they be ranked above LSU?
It shows you that the polls are bullshite and they are human, computer polls my arse. They may be computer but humans are controlling the data entered and what is required to get a certain outcome.
No way possible for USC to be ranked above LSU if it is all on the up and up.

This is what people that get worked up over rankings don't understand...Who really gives a shite about the media darlings?? If we win against the rest of the teams we have to play we wont be left out. End of story.

This was my point of contention....we lost almost as much rank staying competitive with the #1 team as USC did losing to an unranked team
I guess it is all about how performance looked prior. And for a lot of the season, we looked shitty/questionable.

USC's computer score is currently higher than LSU's. This will obviously change if LSU beats Bama. USC is overrated, but it should be TCU and BSU ahead of them.

Well that's why they are rated higher than them. The point of the polls isn't to let the undefeated teams be ranked the highest...it's to allow the best teams to be ranked the highest.

Do you mean Oregon? USC can end this discussion with a win over Oregon next week. Then will they be justified as being ranked ahead of a big time overhyped Boise team?
