Will be better to answer this at the end of the year. If they repeat last year's 5-1 start and 7-5 finish, then only half of your statement will be correct.

That's true, but what if the opposite happens, or some other variation. Say we finish 10-2, and win the bowl game to boot. 11-2 and a top 5 finish. Do you think that changes the opinion of anybody that currently doesn't think he's the right man for the job? If not, why?
