go back and watch the fl and ga games.
Lee held the ball had all day then threw right to spikes no lsu player was within 10 yards.
Besides why did both qbs digress?
JL and JJ got worse.
Wrong Coaching?

The fact of the matter is JJ is no Qb and all stupid people who believe he is have a problem beyond what is good for this team.

I really don't remember them all. There were 3 no one physically could prevent, but there was the one in the Bama game by Johnson that he weaved through our entire team just to name one.

What amazes me about the pick six deal is that we only hold Lee accountable for the interceptions being returned for TD's. Nevr minding the fact that 10 other guys had the opportunity to tackle. I know a few were direct throws for returns.
With LSU rantard reasoning Jay Locker could not be an LSU QB b/c Peterson returned a pick six.

Letmego, JJ is a great QB in potential, much like Jarrett Lee, but when you a horrible QB coach as the one teaching you, who has shown no ability to produce quality QBs when he's coaching them, then what do people expect?

+1
LSU has no QB coach.

redbean.. LOL about Locker not being good enough. Hes one of the best in the country. Not to mention he runs a 40 yrd dash in 4.5 secs..no that its importnat, but it sure helps scrambling!

Lee's high school skills looked good. He showed good Passing skills. When it came down to it he buckled under pressure in College. Jefferson showed decent passing skills with more mobility " what college offenses are using proficiently now" and he is buckling too! Now they both could change and get better. The only way to find out is put them on the field and or use their practices to observe them. Now if they become the player we recruited them to be, I would prefer Jefferson. Much more of a threat to defenses and would control their formations!! I think Shepard for what we recruited him as "major mobility and some passing " would be the best QB out of the three for college style play. He must have his chance on the field as well. Practice is very different than game play and the true athletes will rise to the occasion! Shepard is my pick unless he under performs like the others. Bottomeline try Lee, Shepard, and Jefferson. Or do nothing until the end of the year and suck...

Jefferson is the best QB on the roster so if you think he is no QB, then LSU has no QB. Thanks for simplifying things.

Actually, you miss the point. The LSU players had little opportunity to tackle the interceptor because Lee hit the LBer or Safety in stride who had been watching his eyes and baiting him the whole time. That is what happens when you stare down the WR and throw late over the middle.

i would agree with JL playing, but I'm not convinced with his performance at the end of the summer. His last scrimmage he was 3/13 with 0 TD's and 2 INT's. He should be the best QB on the roster, but he needs to overcome everything he went through last year

We all can point blame when we don't to face the truth, I want LSU to win as much as anyone. I won't get into specific cases, but as a retired teacher of high school football for 40 years, I can assure I know what I am talking about, I had my bad, good, and better QB's. Let's look at the problem with our eyes open.

Hem I agree with you. Run triple option with shep and some passing.
I think, They are misshandling mentally our qb's.
It's easy to do just keep riding them about int's.

What I've been saying. I have no idea why a few say "oh, he hasn't had a chance since last season." I guess they don't understand the concept of spring practice..the spring game....fall practice...and practices during the season. He has had umteen chances and threw himself under the bus. As far as "he should be the best QB on the roster", I disagree with that. Lee and Jefferson were very similarly rated out of HS, of course 1 year apart but still about the same ratings by the services.

Lee stared down receievers and Jefferson seems to do the same. It looks like he is afraid to look away from the primary receiver. A lot of talk on here is stating that both Lee and Jefferson were standout high-school players but there has to be some growth as a quarterback since this isn't high school anymore. It seems like instead of being developed into SEC quarterbacks they are still just standout high-school quarterbacks.

It doesn't matter who the qb is if you don't handle them right they will fail.
After two qbs digressed I'm starting to think someone on the coaching staff is presuring our qb's.
Making them second guess maybe thats what happened to both qb's.

If this has already been brought up, i apologize. I keep seeing people use JLs performance from last year to justify keeping him benched THIS YEAR.
I've been making the Stafford/Bradford/ McCoy "freshman to sophmore" improvement comparison for the past month. Some people are just so completely fricking close minded and biased in support for their LSU football gods (LM,JJ) that they're totally blind to what's really happening and refuse to face reality.
Way past time to see if JL has made any improvement. I don't give a shite what he did last season; I want to see what he can do in 2009. He should have gotten half the snaps in the OOC games and PT in the SEC games. Now it's going to be tough just throwing him in there. Has he even played except for coming in to throw the TD pass against Vanderbilt?. And, don't even get me started on the lack of PT for LSMWW1. (Lord Savior Messiah Water Walker 1) Ridiculous player management........

didn't McCoy play worse as a sophomore? He was pretty damn good as a freshman
