Our WR's are losing $$ with each game. Hopefully our recruiting doesn't suffer but with the number of recruits there last night that's possible. Why LM will not play the freshman is beyond me. This is why Urban Meyer will continue to be more successful IMHO.

He is scared to let the ball fly.

JJ cannot find the open receiver unless it is his hot route. He will hold the ball until sacked.

Wasn't Okie St's offense under Miles one of the best in the country. Seems like I remember them putting up a lot of yards and points.

Do you even watch the games? Have you not figured out that we can't protect the QB long enough for those routes to develop? FFS, we need to throw more short passes, they are the only passing plays that have been successful for us.

JJ is scared to throw int's. So he just holds the ball and eats it. Somebody needs to tell him that ain't worth a crap.

I'm sure he is allowed to but deep routes take time to develop which means he will be sacked before he throws it.

Why they do not keep another player in the backfield to block when we are running these routes I have no idea.

JJ can't throw accurately to a guy 10 yards away, why would you think he can hit a man deep? Another thing, the O line doesnt give the recievers enough time to get downfield anyway. By the time the recievers pass the first down markers Jefferson is already running backwards or sideways for his life. Or he doesnt run at all and just takes a sack.

If he understood what a pocket was then he could be throwing deep instead of getting sacked for a loss of 10.

dropped balls, no run setting up play action pass, inaccurate throws, poor blocking, QB not in the pocket thus causing the sack, all these things are killing our deep ball.

I had the most aggrevating fan behind me last night calling JJ every name in the book and screaming for this.

When your offensive line can't stop a 4 man rush with 5 blockers, you can't throw deep.

The sooner you understand this basic concept, the happier you will be.

If the interior line could block players above pee-wee football level. He might step into the pocket more often. Right now stepping into the pocket means faster sack with greater possibility of a fumble.
