is this post for real? JL should start? If you thought Miles was confused.... but maybe he is better this year but he would have to be MUCHO improved. Not that JJ was GREAT but the coaches have more to do with calling plays that can be made than a sophomore taking over the game. Spread it OUT and shep or JJ can play...

i agree, specs .. if anything .. give lee a designed series or two a game, like LSU traditionally has with mickey guidry/tommy hodson and matt flynn/ryan perrilloux .. at least give JJ a chance to watch the game a series or two from the sidelines just to see what the opposition is doing ... i just never ever understood the ridiculous amount of praise and hype that got heaped on JJ after last season ... he had one good half at arkansas .. and one good half in the chick-fil-a bowl .. and that was it ... there were actually people associating this guy with the heisman trophy .. and i just didn't get it ... it was obvious last season that his grasp of the playbook was very very limited .. like 8 plays to either side of the field, when that breaks down, play streetball and run ... it hasn't improved this season even with a complete off season as the ordained golden child with one-on-one tutelage from the puppetmaster himself ... jefferson can't read defenses on his own and make adjustments -- hence the stupid, momentum killing troy crap at the line where he has to stare at the sideline to get signals ... JJ throws a HORRIBLE deep ball that looks like crowton has all but abandoned .. his balls flutter and die in the air ... we have deep ball threats galore in jo jo, reuben, etc. and he can't get them the ball ... he locks in on one receiver (usually jo jo) and then fricking panics when he is covered .. the extra second or two that he takes to make his decisions after that usually render his eventual scramble into a useless two or three yard trot out of bounds or a straight up sack ... for all of his speed and athleticism why can't the guy make something happen when the play breaks down ??
i am not trying to castigate the kid .. but something's very wrong here ... we watched les' stubborness last season with the co-defensive coordinator crap destroy last season ... now we have to watch this crap ... i am not saying yank JJ .. but don't throw lee out back in the dumpster either ...

Lee was replaced after starting most of the year. During spring practice Lee should have had a good jump on JJ with his experience right? The coaches evaluated both a decided to go with JJ instead. My point is after all this the coaches still feel JJ gives them the better chance to win.
well if thats your logic I believe multiple sources even coaches said Garrett from Mississippi had the best Spring of all the Qbs. I have also heard Jefferson doesnt practice well but he plays well during games, not this year! I think Miles had his mind set on the starting Qb before the spring even started. All our qbs are young, talented, and inexperienced. So giving the guy with the most experience a shot when your offense is struggling doesnt sound all that bad. We still control our destiny but we need to make some changes on the offensive side of the ball.

dude, crowton is calling the plays he is comfortable with JJ running ... that is why it looks basic and vanilla .. because JJ's grasp is basic and vanilla ... JJ sees MAYBE 1/3 of the field when he is comfortably in the pocket .. even less when he is on the move ..

+1, this is not the time to go to JL at QB. We have 1 loss against the #1 team in the country and are still in it for the SEC west. If changes really do need to be made at the QB position then pull the redshirt off of CG.

JJ couldn't solve a defense last week that an ANEMIC tennessee offense bitch slapped 45-19 yesterday ..

It may do some good for JJ to sit back and watch from the sideline a bit. Lee needs to play one series per half imo, like Mickey Guidry used to.

I would rather have a QB who is willing to take chances throwing to ALL AMERICAN WRs, than someone who is scared shitless in the backfield. We were 5-0 going into the game, but we were LUCKY to be at that point. Look at our Offensive stats. You can clearly see that there is something very wrong. You know what it's called when you do the same thing over and over again and expect something different? Infrickingsanity

so why would you want JL on the field? If JJ can't handle it what do you think would happen if JL got on the field?

I absolutely agree that Jarrett Le should have been getting significant PT all year long and definately should have been placed in this game at least for a series or two. Les Miles threw this kid under the bus last year and is punishing him by not giving him an opportunity to play.
I am very disappointed at Miles and Crowton for their completely inept coaching this year. Our real coach John Chaves has done an impressive job.

i am saying a series or two .. not outright bench JJ for him ... and JL can at least stretch the field more effectively .. come on ..

No. We need a mobile QB considering out Oline can't stop a simple four man rush.

If you fukin tards don't see JJ for what he is (average) you aint paying attention.JL def needs to be given a chance to move this team.At times last year he would make major league throws with pressure in his face.JJ has not made one throw that looked anything but (average).
