If he plays, then the coaches aren't truly looking out for the best interests of Tebow or the team. The difference between a doctor saying "He can play" and "He's 100%" is not a gray area I'd put somebody in. LSU isn't going to pussy-foot around if he plays. They are going to hit him like anyone else when the opportunity arises (anyone who thinks LSU will be "head-hunting" underestimates the character of our players).

(TIME TO STATE THE OBVIOUS) Helmet-to-helmet contact is just one of many scenarios in which Tebow could aggravate his condition.

(BACK TO MY POINT) If he is allowed to play and takes another knee to the head, for example... He could sideline himself for future games (best case) or even cause permanent brain damage (worst case). Whether or not that affects the outcome of this season - who knows? Does putting a player at risk "in order to win" sound any smarter than "he wanted to play" when speaking to the parents of potential recruits?

If Tebow plays, my respect for Urban Meyer will be ZILCH.

What doctors have said is that coming back from a concussion is a unique thing. Once he's cleared he's no more likely to get a concussion playing one week after the initial injury than if he waited a month.

If Meyer plays him it will because 12-14 doctors cleared him 100%.
