I don't know much about him. Is he a threat to run (I realize he's white) or strictly a passing QB?

yes
but not like tebow

not strictly, but he is a better passer than tebow, but not as good of a runner
the offense definitely changes a bit while he's in there
think chris leak, but taller, whiter and more like matt flynn

Think Alex Smith more than Chris Leak. If he plays what you'll most likely see more than anything are roll outs with short passes to the FB, TE or RB. He'll run but won't go up the middle like Tebow can.

I use to worry about his running capability till I saw him run in games. I was impressed, kid can motor. He seems a much better passer and more hesitant to run. His strength is his arm. You'll be impressed with his arm.

What's it matter? Alem'll just circle around back behind him anyway. We get no push up the middle.
He's got a perfect little spot to stand and deliver.
