The song is classic dude. Don't touch that one. That's like changing One Shining Moment. No can do.
As for GD, he is good and he is knowledgeable, but he picks one player or subject per game and just HARPS ON IT CONSTANTLY. It is really annoying. I totally get the earlier comment about Curren being his baby in this game. Too bad he didn't point out how Curren got owned on Scott's TD run.

Gary Danielson is, by a wide margin, the most knowledgeable color commentator in college football. He has better insight than any one else I have ever heard call a college game and he is usually very insightful and right on the money.

I cannot stand to hear him call an LSU game, if you think he is the best then you are a fricktard!
For what it is worth (not much I know), but I had to mute the TV today before the 1st qtr was over. I listened to pandora.com and watched the rest of the game. It was SOOOO much better. OK I will shut the frick up now!

Danielson doesn't call the game, Verne does that. Danielson's job is to give color commentary and provide analysis. He is better at that than any other commentator I have seen. He points out what is really going on in the game and his insights about strategy and play calling predictions are generally right on. If you can't get your purple and gold glasses off long enough to see that, well, then turn off the volume and listen to Hawthorne.
