Leslie's ability has been questioned of late. Do you think Pete Carroll would have more success at LSU than Lester?

Well, the only thing that pete is good at is surrounding himself with talent. By that I'm talking about OCs, DCs, . . .

At the end of the day, being from the South and having a great love for it Les Miles has the same love. If he doesn't he never shows it. What has Pete Carroll Done soooooooooo Great. Rose Bowls that are set up for him. He has 2 NC. LSU in the same time Has 2. So What is sooooooooo Great about Pete

Got his team to a another that they lost in and was one game away from additional appearances several years.

He's done more @ USC than Miles has @ LSU. Miles lost more games last year than Carroll has in the last 3 and before you give me the "SEC tougher" line, don't forget they're 11-8 vs. us in the last nineteen games.

Pete lays the annual egg
One questions whether Miles can spell "egg"

I would have to give the nod to Pete for two reasons -
1. He is likely to be approached by another school for a job and
2. Pete's worse conference record (his first year) had him drop 3 games which happens to be the number of conference games Miles won in conference after the BCS Title.

Program builder/reviver vs. caretaker. Pete is the draw to USC.

And the 2007 team was worstt NC teamever. first 2 loss team. 5 illgea formations per game Ugly. No one gave us respect for that year. Win by default.

I'd take Pete in a heartbeat. I think it would be great if Pete was in the sec where the big boys play.

Does anybody remeber how horrible Carroll was in the NFL. Drew Bledsoe played lying flat on his back looking through his earhole. This dude couldn't do shite if he wasn't in the WACK10 and LA. Usc stumbled into him. oops look what we found. Look at what NE did shortly after he left.

would be a little tougher for Petey to recruit in the south than it is at USC and that appears to be the only thing he is really good at. He has the most talent in the country and still manages to lose at least one game a year to far inferior talent. What would he do with just average to very good talent?

Whether it's Pete, Les, Urban, or Nick, a coach won't reach the mountaintop without great on the field leadership. We didn't have it last year, and it's hard to spot this year. And it's more important on defense than anywhere. Every great defense has great, visible leaders who hold themselves and their teammates accountable. That said, it's the coaches job to recruit and mold leaders.
