Franklinton High (5-0) goes to the defending state champs Belle Chasse and leaves a 58-21 winner. btw fhs is the home of the taylor brothers and there are a few 2011 and 2012 class players you'll be reading about on the recruiting board soon.

rayville 28 farmerville 26 can't take anything from rayville they played hard. but the ref took that game from us. if first down is called by one ref then another one calls for the chains then pulls the chains hard enough to break them then denies us the first down hurt us deeply.

BRAINFART !!!!
Nope. That's actually quite normal around here. What's funny is they beat Springfield 2 weeks ago the same damn way they lost tonight. You would think the guy would've known better. Oh well, district play is here now and unfortunately for L.O., things aren't going to get any easier. I'll call it right now: Zachary gets their first win next week against Live Oak.
And congrats to the Chalmette fans, band, etc. I live about 100 yards from the stadium and they made enough noise to fool me into thinking Live Oak had won. Needless to say, I was a little surprised when my brother got home and told me they lost.

i wonder how many we brought...
i was on the chain crew for chalmette against sarah reed and our crowd was our worst in a decade and we've had some pretty bad teams in that time
and the last road game in metairie we didn't bring our band or nothing but we brought them this time?
but if we ever start winning again we have one of the largest stadiums in the state, and now no other schools to compete against in our parish.
and EDIT- we could be 5-0... we've had chances to win every game so far late, even the loss to HC, we led by 10 with 8 minutes left

Stay positive. Live Oak moved the ball well all night up and down the field, but they had a TD called back on a holding penalty on their first drive, then missed a chip shot field goal. Then with a chance to go up 21-14, they fumbled at the end of a first down run deep in Chalmette territory...they moved 30 yards in 2 plays before that. Then they went for two and didn't get it. Chalmette has a very impressive place kicker. LO's TD's were on a real nice 60 yard bomb and then end runs at the end of long drives. They'll be ready next week.

Since when does a coach have to be a phenominal athlete with a long playing resume'? Bamaman45 must just be another ignorant member of the Watson community. Just because you "played" football for Kemp or whoever you played for doesn't mean you know jack about the game or how to coach. Go do some research on the Patriots and Notre Dame head coaches and send me there list of accomplishments as players.
You are obviously on of the idiots who sit in the stands and scream stuff like "shoot dem gaps" and "come on and make some adjustments". Before you insult a football coaching staff you better know exactly what play was called because maybe..just maybe a player screwed up their assignment. Get a college degree (from some place other than Hammond High) become a teacher and get on a coaching staff. Your comments and lack of knowledge make you sound like an idiot.

Glad I got your attention. The copy paste job was to make sure you saw it. I am surely not trying to hide from anything. I am telling you though, to remove my picture from your post and never again mention my name for the rest of your pathetic life. Inbred fools like yourself give Live Oak the reputation that it has. I'll continue to do my job. Please continue to keep up with the team and give us your insight and advice. The entire staff really enjoys it.

Live Oak has a very good coaching staff and many great kids on the team. In some past years, they ran an offense that encouraged the D to just load the box and LO would produce little offense, overloading tailbacks and not mixing it up. I have seen many of their games since 1998. With this staff, they literally never run two plays in a row out of the same formation and the play calling is excellent. They also have good players on O who understand the offense and their assignments and make plays. You don't see kids lining up wrong or going the wrong way, which is a credit to the coaches and the kids. They have brains on O. On defense, they are also well coached and have some real motors who can make plays. LO has intercepted 9 or 10 balls this year and only thrown 2 or so pics, credits to the O and D. I have not seen players, assistant coaches, parents and fans rally behind the program/team nearly as much as they have this year....I think this is largely because the head coach has set a great tone and is a great coach. He exhibits the appropriate demeanor during games and at all times, deflects attention from himself and genuinely wants the kids to experience winning. All 3 wins this year have been huge in their own way. Huge!! And the 2 televised games, against Key opponents for the program, went very well! The assistant coaches are working hard and doing well. The principal cares and did the absolute right thing in selecting this head coach for the situation the program faced. I have been in the stands and have not heard criticism of coaches as in past years. The crowd for the homecoming game was awesome. The coach made a decision to go for two and it didn't work. Live Oak has been on both sides of that this year - both 21-20 ironically. So many plays go into a game! Had it worked, it would have been a great call....we see this happen every week to teams at all levels. The O put together 5 good drives, unfortunately only scored on three....that's football. The D held an athletic team with a stud back to only 3 scores, got 3 pics and never broke, unfortunately one more break would have only netted Chalmette 2 scores....that's football. Football only has a 10 game season, has a much higher level of emotional and physical committment than other sports, and quickly generates highs and lows. The key is to rise each time you fall. There has been a fall at the end of a great winning streak, but these coaches will have these boys risen and ready for Friday.
Don't worry about what clowns say who don't attend the games and just criticize for reasons those committed can't understand. Coaches, players, parents, refs, etc. will always make mistakes, but what is happening at Live Oak this year is special in this fans eyes....Live Oak football, like its school, has earned respect! Coach and play for the people in the locker room...for yourselves...not for anybody else. Be easy on Southeastern too...a lot of good teachers and coaches at Live Oak went there and were well educated.

Hmm, I think that statement sort of contradicts itself, right? And for the record, if you don't want your ugly mug on this site, you shouldn't have tried calling me out and mentioning me in every post douchebag. If you have a problem with the pic, tell Live Oak to take your porky pig looking arse off their website or STFU. "Never mention my name again" . You're a regular Billy Badass aren't you?

Ohhhhh, man. For the record, I'm originally from Central where.....oh yeah, you graduated. Are they inbred over there too? God, if only I could be as cool you are when I grow up. And you've been at that school for how long? I love how you're acting like you just know all about Live Oak and it's history and you're defending Live Oak...when you just called the fans that go to games idiots and referred to members of the Watson community as ignorant in a previous post. You are truly retarded.

I'll go to games when I can and read all the news articles. Don't think I've ever given this staff advice though, but being the Einstein you are I'm sure you can think of something. I've only made comments about the teams from the past 2-3 years and stated before I think most of the staff is pretty good. And the only advice I've given is to players about focusing on the getting better rather than worrying about the postseason stuff 2 weeks into the season. (But since you know Live Oak soooo well, you already know this has always been a problem). Talent is def. there at certain positions; the winning will come continually if they just stay focused and overcome a tough loss. But for the record, since I now know how easily you get upset, I haven't made up shite about anyone, only facts.

Riiiiight. About as much as you enjoyed looking at that scoreboard after the game Friday huh? Now run along and actually focus on your job and coaching instead of stalking me homo.
