It's a big place...Virginia Highlands, or Midtown are the most common to start. Front Page News in Midtown is a swanky place with Cajun food with good scenery and live bands with outdoor patio and lots of bars around it.

Don't go to buckhead. Most of those bars have been razed, and unless you're a millionaire sugar daddy, or a millionaire rapper, the women won't pay attention to you.
In the Highlands, my favorite bars are Atkins Park, Hand in Hand, Dark Horse Tavern (these are on the southern part of highland ave near ponce de leon) and Highland Tap, and the Cavern (which are actually on the corner of Virginia and Highland). Moes and Joes is also a great place if you're looking for college age to almost college age tail.
I miss Virginia Highlands. Enjoy!

Buckhead doesn't exist anymore technically. It's been leveled with the exception of a bar or two and a few restaurants.

To the original poster, I would definitely hit up the Highlands if I were you. The bars he mentions above are the exact ones I would have told you. I really wouldn't recommend going to Buckhead, hardly anything there anymore except Fado's, Elbow Lounge (dive bar), and restaurants
