Seems like Tiger should have played more than 1000 professional rounds in 12 years on tour. Anyway u look at it though, its quite a staggering accomplishment.

i think he has played 250 pga events with about 15 missed cuts. he has also played some eurpoean tour events so the average is probably a little less.

Tiger's winning percentage is almost 28%. the Next closest is Hogan at 20% and then Jack is all the way back at 12%. That's just wrong

Just curious, how many more tournaments did Hogan and Jack play than Tiger has already? It will be interesting to see if Tiger can keep his percentage significantly higher over the next decade.

Jack played just under 600 events and has 2 more wins than Tiger. Hogan played 294 and had 61 wins. Palmer played 730 and won 62 events

this decade, 2000-2009, tiger has a 33% winning percentage in pga events and a 30% winning percentage in majors.

in the 70's, jack won 22% of pga events he played and 20% of majors.

this thread title is misleading imho. Still, $100 million in career winnings is pretty unbelievable considering he's got another strong 10-15 years left to play.

How is the thread title misleading? He has earned $1 billion in his career.

But it makes it sound like he's earned it all playing golf

"career earnings" is used for what a player wins in tournaments, nothing else. If you want to say "Tiger is a billionaire" fine. But to say he's reached $1 billion in career earnings implies he's won that much at tournaments. And he hasn't.

I disagree, but it's nothing to argue about.

I won the Chateau Junior Club Championship 5 times. And all I got was a trophy each year. Must be nice.
