I thought LSU's spread option was called the Pistol? But then again, I could be wrong.

knowing Miles they will prolly do it. Then it may get 7 or 8 yards and they never get in it again.

They will run it for sure and it will really work or really get fracked up and abandoned quickly who knows.

We ran one play last week, 2nd quarter 9:04 mark. It was idiotic though, because Charles Scott was the jet guy and he was motioning across way too slow. Shep still got like 9 yards though.

We did it with Trindon as the jet guy too. Shep just kept it.

there was a play where TH was the jet guy too. agreed that Scott never needs to be there again though. I'd take KW or a WR before that again.

Nah. I just enjoy learning the intracacies of offensive formations from Mighty Yats such as yourself. (and such a nice, polite, well spoken young Yat at that).

I wuz probably confused by quotes like this:

quote:

Ault has credited the inspiration for his invention to the 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers performance at the Fiesta Bowl, where they ran the option from a spread offense.

I guess I should have said I could be wrong in my original post. Oh wait...

Your original post was wrong. What's so hard to understand about that?

Yer a spicy lil feller ain't ya?

Good thing, too, there's a lot of misguided souls out there for you to correct:

Pistol Spread Option Offense

Lots of converting for you to do. Keep preaching the word Yat Man:

This (the LSU version of the Pistol, which was used w/ great success two years ago vs Va Tech-1 TE, 3 WR, 1 RB lined up behind QB)...

...is not this (Spread-0 TE, 4-5 WR, 0-1 RB lined up parallel w/ QB):

Just sayin'

Why do people keep speculating about a formation that's never been used at LSU?
