Recent 2011 pledge plans to do some recruiting for LSU

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 | Print Entry

Posted by JC Shurburtt

Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List running back Jeremy Hill (Baton Rouge, La./Redemptorist) talked about his decision to commit early to LSU and what he intends to do now that he is in the fold for the Purple and Gold.

He announced his intention to commit to the Tigers just before the weekend, but spoke with LSU head coach Les Miles on Monday to make it official.

"I just really love LSU," Hill said. "I really think that it's the place for me. So now, I am just going to work on helping to recruit the No. 1 recruiting class in America for the Class of 2011."

Collins and Hill are the type of players I like. I can not wait to see them play for us.

In his TSD interview, Hill said he wants to be like Russell Shepard as a recruiter. Nice!

This is the kind of news that I love right before the weekend. Now LSU just need to go out and tied up those dogs.

Yeah, being projected as a top ten national player is not enough....

Lester always tends to be looking through rose colored glasses, except the roses are dead.

that remains to be seen, but its not like OL are talked up as much as a guy like Russell Sheppard

Everyone knew who he was, you wont be able to say the same about Collins, no matter how high he is ranked.

I assume thats who you are talking about? Hill doesnt have the offers to be in those talks, but i could be wrong

And my comment wasn't a slight to either guy. Im fully aware Collins will be highly ranked. But he is an OL, and an early commitment at that, he won't get enough pub to be able to have a Sheppard like impact as far as recruiting other players. Just doesnt have the street cred
