Moo State's Stadium

Has anybody ever been? I was there this summer with a few basketball recruits and I thought the field looked terrible and the bleachers were horrific. There seemed to be no pride about the place. The best thing on campus was the athletic dining hall. But hell, I did get to meet a nice looking cheerleader.

There were major upgrades done to the stadium late summer/early fall. I am a MSU alum, and know we dont have anything as good as most SEC schools, but I take pride in Davis Wade Stadium at Scott feild is the 2nd oldes Stadium in D1 next to Georgia tech.
As for Perry cafeteria, it dont much get better than that place for a on campus cafeteria. That place is known to give a many students the freshman 15 and then some. Great food, their breakfast on Sundays is the best.

Yea the upgrades were in progress while I was there. I also visited Ole Miss, Tennessee, Memphis, Southern Miss, UAB, Bama, Auburn, and Vandy this summer. I really liked the Ole Miss Stadium.

think of a really nice Texas High School stadium and then downgrade it a lil bit and you have MSU's stadium.

Fail. Georgia Tech is the 4th oldest D1 stadium. Ahead is Franklin Field (UPenn), Harvard Stadium and Yale Bowl.

When did Penn and Harvard become D1 schools ? I thought they were D1-AA schools?

I went in 2007, and tomorrow will be my 2nd trip there. I get the whole "it's one of the oldest in the country" thing, but it was kind of a dump.

What is the number in front of the AA??

It is small. As for the "look" of the stadium it is no worse than Tiger Stadium. The amount of people at your stadium is what makes it so nice.
The cups at our game smelled like shite for years, but that could have been the taste of losing.

Our Turf Management program and their students do a great job on our grass on our field. I dont know why or where the guy who was hating on the playing surface got his point of view from. Our stadium is old and sucks but the turf is always great on game days.

I went to Starkville once. I came home with hepatitis and mononucleosis. I haven't been back since.

Actually, Scott Field is the second oldest on-campus stadium in D-1a.
