A cruel twist of fate has brought me to Meridian on business for a night.

Picayune/Hattiesburg for a dinner? The Purple Parrot guy has a NOLA restaurant that actually looks good in H-town.

Meridian lunch?

Thanks...

Damn, I'm surprised you know that.

But you don't seem like the type of guy who would own Peavey gear...

See, the last time I went to Meridian was years before I stumbled across TD...so I had to resign myself to Subway instead of sushi.

Yes, you could have eaten good sushi, but is finding out about TD worth dealing with the Rant and the OT?

Yeah, I'm not on there very much...there's a little bit too much ugliness and mean-spirited stuff on there.

Of course my girlfriend thinks the OT is of the same importance as reading the newspaper every day!

No menu online? How are lunch prices? What to get? Do we need reservations for a Friday lunch?

I have never found anything I liked in Meridian. Hattiesburg is much better, Leatha's is good for no-frills BBQ, but beware the sauce is cloyingly sweet. Have been to Chesterfields once and it was pretty good, Crescent City Grill same, Wintzell's OK for fried seafood.
