Complete moron...every school (except William and Mary) went on some sort of probation under his regime. He cheats, is a homer for any school he coached at and has marble's in his mouth so you can understand him.....

The guy is a legend.
His ESPN gig is damaging that legend (especially for the young folk who don't care who Lou Hotlz was), but he's still a big figure in NCAA football history.

But in addition to that, he put four schools on probation, and walked away from a long contract at Notre Dame for "undisclosed" reasons. He ended his career by putting South Carolina on probation.
Holtz was a cheater. He cheated at every place he coached. He just never got caught at Notre Dame.
Screw Lou Holtz.

I love Holtz on ESPN. He makes it fun to watch. If you take anyone of these guys serious for making predictions about who is going to win and lose then you have personal problems. Predictions don't effect the outcomes of games. His prediction is as valid as mine is. I watch to be entertained and Holtz does a great job of entertaining us.

If any coach has a halfway decent team at ND it shouldnt be that hard to win a crap ton of games. They play an easy schedule (especially recently) and dont even play in a CC
