I think you're onto something, GrandDad. (I'm not a granddad yet, but getting closer.)
Us folks who lived through years of good but not great teams, occasionally sprinkled with a bad year, appreciate the golden age we're in now. 2 NC's in 5 years, and still people are bitching.
Too many young whippersnappers have unrealistic expectations.

1990-94 was actually much worse than this.
