Did they fix the issues with timeouts and down and distance for the game this past weekend?

Yup. They added TOL. Not sure what the problem was with down and distance but everything seemed fine. Only a few dead pixels on the screen.

i wouldn't go that far. maybe small arse. get rid of the ads and we can reevaluate the assness of the screen.

The permanent Coke and other ad (I don't even recall what it is on the right side, a bank maybe?), seems to be a complete misuse of the screen, bordering on being a waste to both the folks buying the ads and the purpose of the screen itself.

Wouldn't a big Coke ad permanently placed somewhere besides and HD video screen, designed to show LIVE ACTION, be better served for both parties?

I don't freaking get it.

I'm not sure why they made the outside portions part of the HD screen, because I don;t think they ever pull down the COKE ad. could just as well have been a regular sign in those outer spaces.

That being said, there's a simple reason the COKE ad is there...everyone is looking at the screen. You put your ad in front of the most eyes. The only place with more eyes on it during the game would be the 50 yard line.

FWIW, I love the new screen.

Having advertisements plasters on the replays gets on my nerve. Can we see a replay where we can see the whole video. The advertisement on the reply gets in the way. It's already on the board in the first place. Not necessary IMO.

I understand the "need" for ads. I just don't understand the need for a static basically permanant picture, covering about 20% of a million dollar HD Video Screen.

Why not just put the Coke ad, same size, same ad, in lights next to the big screen?

Just seems like a complete waste of technology to me.

ads

They're part of the HD screen.

In the SEZ, there's just a permanent lighted Coke ad that looks exactly the same as the one taking up 20% of the new HD screen.

Again, what's the point?

So the Coke, Verizon, McDonalds and Capital One ads are always there?

Where did they put TOL?

my guess is that they don't have a place to put the static Coke ad, so they are using the screen.

So, are the ads always there, and they are just using that center portion for video?
