In your opinion, what is a victory Saturday night?
A game in which (i) the outcome is never in doubt, (ii) no one is injured, (iii) the players continue to gain confidence and eliminate mistakes, and (iv) 90% of the fans are still in the stadium with 5:00 to go, regardless of the score. I predict that 3 of the 4 criteria will be satisfied.

A win is a win. However, I'd obviously like to see some improvement over the past week in a few areas.
1. Jefferson needs to view the field better. Countless times Saturday he missed wide open receivers. I like that he hasn't forced anything or made big mistakes, but when there's a receiver running all alone you have to hit him.
2. Charles Scott needs to learn from Keiland how to hit a hole. Keiland Williams may have the best vision of any back in the SEC. Chuck is big, but he needs to hit holes rather than trying to run flat over anything in the way that he wants to go.
3. I was very impressed with the defense on Saturday. One thing I would like to see improve is tackling, but that always takes gameday reps to improve.
4. A shutout is always nice. Is it the end of the world if ULL scores? No. But it should definitely be a goal every week.

Yes, but in addition to "slowing down the game" for himself, he needs a bit more protection from his offensive line.

Number four can not happen because if it is blow-out they will get up and leave to beat the traffic and then if it is a close game they will leave and say the game should have been a blow-out and they did not want to see any more of that crap. It is a no-win situation. That is why Tiger Stadium is going dead insted of being Death Valley, because the fans do not care one way or the other. That is a shame because there are a lot of fans that would love to have the chance of being there to pull for their Tigers from beginning to end.
We want to see our team play from beginning to the end and not quit at no time, but, we don't want to stay and watch them from beginning to the end. That's kind of contradictive of oneslef if you ask me isn't it?

I can hear Tiger fans saying after a 63-7 victory..."man, how did our defense let them score a TD....we suck!"
not at all

It doesn't matter what the offense does. It must be a shut out to appease the tards on this board.

no turnovers by LSU,
zero to few penalties,
no injuries,
solid game plan and execution.

That's because a large and loud portion of LSU's fans are a bunch of fricking morons.
Bingo! We have a winner!

simply a win or a shut-out win?
a win is a win and ill take it! A shut out with lots of points scored on O would be a moral win and just a win.

If ULL scores a TD, is that a "loss" in your eyes?
If we only score a TD and miss and extra point or kick 2 field goals.

yep with the whinny bunch of brats weve been, this is a perfectly logical assumption.

I want a good game. But a victory is a victory as defined by the scoreboard. However, things I would like to see:
*The defense keeps pressure on the QB and executes sound tackling.
*The offense minimizes their negative plays. I'm not going to say they have to air the ball out on every play, but I'm tired of watching screens go for losses or the RB getting caught behind the line.
*Zero turnovers and minimal penalties
*NO INJURIES
*And for the stadium to be full at the start of the game(unlikely) and to stay that way until they finish the alma mater after the clock hits the 0s(impossible)

Yeah, Bama. Maybe if Les died, then you could convincingly say that you have the 2nd best coach in the conference.

Victory=outscoring opponent=win.
Game ova, homedirt.

And BTW, I actually think we have the number one coach in the country...Pete Carrol is close...Urban, too soon to tell. Tebow was bobrn for his spread offencse.
