In my opinion, if we had shoved the ball in the endzone

two of those times we were in the redzone and ended up kicking fieldgoals, and the game was like 31-9, half of these totally ridiculous posts wouldn't have even been made. Some of you "coaches" need to get off the rant and get your resume together....there's a jr. high team somewhere that needs your mad skills.

if a frog had some wings he wouldnt bump his arse everytime he jumped around.

if we put easy points on the board at the end when we could have and covered the spread there would be less crying.
i'm much less concerned now than after the Washington game. The changes we are making are improvements, and make total sense.

the whole point from miles perspective was not to see how much he could beat vanderbilt by. He was tinkering with personel and plays while we had a chance agaisnt a team we able to do it on.
yea we could have beat them by 14 more. But miles just does not work like that. And everybody knows this.

Dude. Seriously? How long you been saving that one?

Hey Geauxjo. But the flip side is that if the Vandy receiver catches the ball that hit him in the hands early in the 4th quarter, it could have been a 16-16 ballgame. Just saying.

No. Not everybody. Quite a few on here don't. Perception is everything with some folks. that's why I said had the score been 31-9, instead of 23-9, the perception would have have been different and people would have by and large been satisfied. Truth is, we controlled that game, start to finish and improved in nearly all aspects.

Ahhhh, but he didn't cause they're Vandy and don't make those kind of plays....ever. It's why they are a second tier SEC team. BTW, in my opinion, had Les felt really threatened he would have opened up the O a bit more.

The score realistically should have been 23-7. That safety was a gift.

I agree with this. I think he's protecting JJ and doesn't want to hurt his confidence by asking him to do too much. BUT, that game was still in the balance and Vandy was driving with a chance to tie the score in the 4th quarter. The interception was from a pass that hit the Vandy guy in the hands.

hows it a gift that we snapped one over punters head, however they drop 2 passes in the hands that more than likely would have been 6?

Well, imo, it's not even close to stupid. Final scores are the bottom line perception for most people. It makes fans "feel" better about their team when they light up the scoreboard. I've seen LSU teams of the past light it up against lesser opponents and not really have a great team. The truth is, we controlled that game last night no matter what people's perception is.

While I understand this mindset, if he is never expected to do much in games that are "easy" what will he do against a difficult team? What about when we play Georgia, Bama or Florida and then he gets laid out or intercepted? I feel that it will absolutely destroy his confidence if he has never had to deal with something like that before.

Proof that the coach's know what they are doing. It was a couple of perfect opportunities for a freshman kicker to make a field goal in a game. Not to wait until a game is on the line to trot him out there. Now he has some experience.

Im just going to assume that we have fundamental differences in what we believe constitutes controlling a game.

I'm w/ you BT.
BTW, I sat beside a gentleman who formerly was a high school scout under a former coaching regime. He really new the game and new recruiting.
He was amazed by how we were being moved around physically by Vandy. Was also amazed at how Vandy overwhelmed our offensive line at times. Thought it might be a long disappointing year unless improvement occured. Very nice gentleman by the way.

Prolly so. I never felt that LSU was in trouble of losing that game. You, I assume, did.
