we ran it once last night...vandy played great defense in their ability to tackle shepard but we still gained 7 yards...IMO, that play is not defendable

So Vandy proved you wrong by defending it...get over it.

Would that be the fastest backfield ever?

hopefully we'll se more option with KW and Trindon as the pitch back and less Lafell as the season progresses. I think Miles was trying to appease Lafell's ego since Toliver scored 2 TDs last week.

I wish they could have used this formation a lot more. However, I understand that this formation was not used as often due to the rainy conditions and slowly working Russel Shepard into the gameplan. I would love to see this in the future games because you can use Trindon Holliday as a decoy or pitch him the ball. Also, once Russell Shepard gets comfortable at the quarterback position, you would also have the option to pass the ball down the field. It would be very tricky for the defense trying to defend this play wondering whether it would be a run or pass play.

i thought they were setting up a misdirection play. I think down the road you'll see Lafell come in motion, but Jefferson fake one step towards the option, then reverse field, running the direction Lafell came from.

Bama and Ole Miss would defend this play? Yeah, right. Bama still struggled against that 1AA team Saturday. Hell, they even tied the game earlier. I know that eventually an SEC team was going to run away later, however, Bama still struggled regardless of the outcome. Same thing with posters stating how bad USC was going to beat OSU. USC better be worried about Washington.
