Hey, clown, Skip BOMBED overall as AD. He only cared about money, made incredibly poor hires on multiple fronts--we are better off w/out him at AD.

You people who think Skip bombed at AD have ZERO sense about how things are run. I am not "in the know" but at least I can realize money is what runs this program.
He made one mistake, and I think MORE THAN made up for that with Les and Mainieri.

So far in 4 years he's given us 3 top 5 finishes, a BCS and SEC Championship. Not much more you can ask for!

I'd be much more impressed with Skip's tenure if he went after these guys from the get go. In reality, these were both his fourth or fifth choices and he had to settle with them.

listening to the Ott show today and a caller says, "after the game Miles is in the endzone singing and hugging his players, Little Nicky would have never done that" I almost threw up in my truck. These people are sick with this Nick Saban shite. The guy is gone, he was good but Les has passed the bar that saban raised while he was here. What you think would have happend had Les Miles lossed to UAB in Death Valley?? Why does nick saban get a pass after that loss and Les Miles is crucified for a victory on the road in week one?? Mind Blowing, I know. I back Les, and if i could start my own college team, im taking Les over Nick anyday of the week.

Nick Saban inherited a 3-8 team. Still got us to a bowl game at 7-4. Saban was roasted for it. OVerall, it took a while for the players to buy in.
Here Les is, after great recruiting classes and a program Saban built up and loses 5 fricking games. The reason he's crucified for week 1 this year is b/c it looked like the same damn team from last year.

Alleva getting Trent Johnson skull drags Bertman getting Miles. Trent came from a school that had had success on a national level.
