after watching the game last night, i was wondering why peterson hasnt gotten a major college head coaching job. his teams always show up to play, well coached, tough, and smart.
i think i heard something like hes a scientologist or something like that? are people afraid he looks good against the WAC and then flame in the big time ala dan hawkins? i know this isnt exactly LSU related, but i worry we may be in the market for a new head coach soon. this is not a flame, serious question.

He's a Catholic Scientologist. Strange beliefs.

he's a scientologist
very few ADs are willing to take that PR hit
no team in the south has those balls right now

While I feel similar about Peterson, it wasn't bc of anything last night. Were we watching the same game?

He's also unwilling to leave Boise because one of his sons is undergoing cancer treatment at a special facility to which their family has grown very fond.

sure wouldnt bother me if he wins.
i guess a big question mark would be recruiting

well all it takes is 1 tom cruise meltdown and people start to get worried
scientology is nothing more than a cult, with some weird arse beliefs
i don't care, but i see why people would
also, last night BSU looked quite shitty

God is not on your side when you have that mixture of beliefs. The Scientology thing will bite him in the arse eventually and I think God is kind of pissed at Catholics right now. So, in a word no I don't want him as coach at LSU.

quote:i know what your saying, and agree- for the most part. the team didnt execute very well early and had kicking problems. but for a team loaded with 2 star guys few wanted, they stood toe to toe with a solid team, and werent afraid one bit. so yes, his body work is much more impressive, but i saw good things last night, too

Read the Bible....it is just as nuts as Scientology, if not more so......

The track record of Boise State coaches isn't too great right now. Dirk Koetter and Dan Hawkins. He has a cake situation in Boise and he knows it.

it's still by far the dominant religious force in our society, ESPECIALLY in the south
love it or hate it, it is what it is

that's christian scientists
they believe your sins make you sick, and they refuse medical treatment

So did his sins give his son cancer or his son's sins? Also, it doesn't sound like they're refusing medical treatment here.
