Who do you pick to start at DE opposite of Rahim Alem?

Pep Levingston because the coaches do.

TH. He's fast and it would be alot easier for him to put his helmet on a ball.

Levingston was only a 3 star recruit. He can't possibly start for LSU.

Pep had a good spring, looks to be in shape now. I'm sure a couple player will see a little time with Pep and Rahim starting.

Chase Clement. Why? Because he's a whitey!

j/k. I don't care, anyone who can put some pressure on the QB and make life easier for our secondary.

it'll be Pep. I want to see what Lavar Edwards does when he gets his shot. He is a beast.

Pep Levingston

He has the most experience besides Alem and he is a big guy that is good against the run, but can also get after the qb.

But really, I can't wait to see Slammin Sam and Brockers get their shot. I think they see significant playing time.

Pep

and I wonder if Rahim can hold up getting most of the reps and still be effective. He is a little undersized and his strength is pass rushing ..he'll need some serious subbing IMO so we need to be 2-deep there

Good thing is that Lavar looks very promising and Chancey is solid (although he definitely lost some of his explosion he once had after his knee injury judging by spring game and camp video)

What's everyone's opinion on this guy. Hadn't heard much about him until this offseason.

a solid SDE.. won't get pushed around a lot and above average speed for an SDE

If he plays well fundamentally and discipline-wise he'll get the job done IMO

Pep. He could have helped the team last year in passing situations. He will be a great player before he leaves. Chavis can coach, Pep can play.

it wouldn't surprise me if he emerges at DE

he has looked sluggish and unexplosive in the various pieces of video I've seen. It's disappointing

I know!! I thought he was supposed to be a speed DE coming out of high school, but in all of the quickness drills, he looks the least quick out of all the D-lineman. That Knee injury must have really hurt him. I was expecting big things from him. However, a two minute video doesn't show what he is really like on the field.
