Right now, we count 1 point for every 20 yards passing and 1 point for every 10 yards rushing and receiving. 6 points for rushing or receiving TD, 4 points for passing TD. Does this sound pretty evenly distributed? Is this the point system yall use?

not at all....

quote:

6 points for rushing or receiving TD
we do this..

quote:

1 point for every 20 yards passing and 1 point for every 10 yards rushing and receiving.
we do 5 points for 300 yards passing and 1 point for every 50 yards over that. So 399 yards passing would be 6 points. and 50 yards rushing/recieving is 2 points. and every 25 yards after 50 is 1 point.

4 points for passing TD
6 points...

Nope. 6 pt for all TDs, 1 point/ 50 yd passing,1point/ 20 total yards for RBs, 1 point/15 yard total yardage for WR, and 1point/10 yard total yardage for TE. 1 pt/reception for WR and TES, and 1 point/2 receptions for RBs. 1 point/ 3 carries for RBs.

We start 2 QBs, 2 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 D.

we do double pts if RB catches td or QB or reciever rushes td...
and scores from 1-9 yds= 6 pts
10-29= 9 pts
30+ = 12 pts

we do 1 point for 25 yards passing but everything else we do the same way. It's the standard way to score.

Our only difference is passing. ^pts for a passing td and 1 point for every 20 yds passing.

we do:
6 pt = TD
Rb 10 yds = 1 pt
WR 10 yds = 1 pt
QB 20 yds = 1 pt

plus we have 1 point per reception
I think we also have a 2 pt bonus for over 300 yards passing.

On point for every 20 yards passing = 15 points for a 300-yard game, whereas 1 point for every 10 yards rushing or receiving = 10 points for a 100-yard game. IMO, a 300-yard passing game is only slightly more significant than a 100-yard rushing game. Hence, our league allows (and I suggest it is more balanced to allow) 1 point for 25 yards passing and 1 point for 10 yards rushing or receiving. That way 300 passing yards = 12 points and 120 yards rushing or receiving = 12 points.

never understood the 4 pts for a TD idea

in my league I set it up that D/Special Teams also got 6 for a punt/kick return for TD. The default was 0 points. Why the frick not get rewarded for a 97 yd return TD?

The 4 points for a passing TD is to equal the field. If you do 6 points for a passing TD, The first 2 rounds will be full of QBs.
