As a fan I say football, BUT if i was him I would totally choose baseball....more money longer career

more money longer career??
that is assuming he actually makes it out of the minors.
there is no reason to assume he would based on a few great innings. There are pitchers that have dominant season(s) and never see the light of day in MLB.

Football.
If you make the team out of camp at least you're in the big show. With baseball, you probably won't make it.

he can't crack the starting lineup on a college baseball team.
what does that tell you?

I am telling you, bball scouts are drooling right now, dude is a natural born closer

Seriously? I think Chad Jones is awesome just like anyone else, but a "natural born closer"? He didn't pitch enough for anyone to know that. This just makes no sense

because he can throw an 85 mph fastball?

Football. He would make more money in baseball assuming he would make it to the majors, but minor league life sucks major arse.

this is what I was thinking. He might be able to touch 90 and that doesn't cut it for closers.

A 90+ fastball and he is a lefty.
Easy baseball!
According to him his first choice...

He can also play outfield and hit. At 230 lbs. he probably can hit with power. As mentioned above, though, a left-handed pitcher, who will no doubt get better and better. has a pretty good chance at the major leagues. Nobody's guaranteed to make it in either sport, though. I'd love it if a manager had to make the "Babe Ruth decision" about Chad. Ruth was a great pitcher, and pitched in the major leagues. His manager said, "Pitchers play every 4 days. Home run hitters play every day. He's an outfielder."
