All of his BS aside, if i had Brees under center, Vick and Reggie behind him in a split I, and it was 3rd and 1 my bet would be we could get that yard

This is where we will miss Deuce the most imo.

One of the NFL's most overrated coaches and we're supposed to hang on his every word.

Nope.

The only way I see Vick as a good fit is if Brees gets hurt. IMHO I want to see Brees take every snap for the Saints this year.

We should start up a new Vick thread on the Saints Talk every day until he signs with someone. This will work a lot better than just combining all this meaningless crap on one giant thread.

Why does he fit well with the saints?

Our offense relies on Getting rod of the ball quickly and accurate passing.

IMO he fits well because we have an immobile quarterback. Dont get me wrong I wouldnt want anyone behind center for us besides Brees, but hes one dimensional, which isnt always a bad thing. the mans incredible. but to be able to add a wildcat formation to one of if not THE best offense in the NFL is just sick. He especially fits in since we're going to be working on an offense without a bruiser like deuce. He'll give us something else to turn to for a big play

This is the craziest thing I've heard not out of Lester's mouth.

Define one dimensional, because if you mean all he does is stand in the pocket and throw passes.....then I'm confused as to what you want our quarterback to do.

I have no idea how in the world Vick would fit well with the Saints. AND, was he talking about as a RB or QB?

Drew moves around the pocket efficeintly. That's all you need in a QB.

I don't think we NEED this, but if we did why take up a roster spot when R. Bush or D. Henderson or someone could run the wildcat.

Duece wasn't necessarily giving us the big play, he got the tough two or three yards you needed. That isn't Vick's style. Vick had the ball on every offensive snap and would make two or three big plays a game. That's not a good ratio and I don't want him to have the ball that often.

Besides, we are talking M. Vick of two years ago. Who says he can even physically play anymore???

like i said i love drew as our QB and wouldnt want anyone else back there. im not saying i want it to happen but im open to it. If we can get reggie/devery to run the WC, lets do it. Last time those two were in the backfield and tried fancy shite we fumbled the ball and lost the game. and i wouldnt call it a wasted roster spot at all. i think once he gets back in football mode he could be a better backup than ancient Mark Brunell

If the Saints act quickly, Vice could be ready to play by the 7th week of the season.

The Saints already have a 3rd down RB.
