How many games were you at laast year and watched the replays this year?
All you idots believe we will set the world on fire with a pitiful coach that can't game plan (a-hole Crowton espicially) - would know what I am referring to. Go watch the replay of the Bama game and LISTEN to GARY DANIELS CALL THOSE PLAYS! Gary Daniels was - at best - a Mediocre coach. If he can call the plays why can't Nick Saban call them? Saban is a FANTASTIC defensive coach and a great game coach. So unless something changes with our coaches on OFFENSE we will struggle again this year. Both QB's will play CG will not sniff the field unless there is major injury. RS - <25 plays at QB if that much. JJ and JL will split time. JJ will grow as the season goes on, but expect him to struggle. Watch the Arkansas game when they put a spy on him and the GT game for that matter. AS I recall, LSU struggled in the second half, but the game was over.

wow, a breath of fresh logical air always does this board good.

BT - just trying to be real.

Crowton joined the Oregon staff after a four-year stint as head coach at Brigham Young from 2001-2004. During his four seasons at his alma mater, Crowton guided the Cougars to a 26-23 record to run his head coaching career mark to 47-36 in seven years. Crowton’s best year with BYU came in 2001 when he led the Cougars to a 12-2 overall mark, capped with an appearance in the Liberty Bowl. Crowton’s BYU offense scored 40 or more points 10 times that year, including 70 points in a win over Tulane and 44 in a victory over California.

He had somone else's players his first year. Sound familiar?

Just because Crowton wasn't a great head coach doesn't mean he isn't a great coordinator. There are tons of coordinators who don't make good head coaches

Well, Bama obviously, but unless JJ was playing safety and QB, he would not have saved us vs. Georgia. When the offense hands the defense a 24 point advantage, and the defense gives up 5 60+ yard TD drives and a FG on a drive starting at the Georgia 35, there's not a whole lot of blame left over for the offense. Yes, the offense could have scored 60 points and probably won the game, but it's not really a "failing" of the offense that they didn't. When the offense gives you a 24 point lead and you don't win, they aren't the big problem.

If I remember correctly, we lost by 14( I think?), and Lee threw 2 pick 6's...that's a 14 point swing. Not saying we would have won, but it's possible

outside JL's F-ups....they still managed 38 pts.
Not gonna win many giving up that many.

Serioulsy, if it makes some of you feel better to blame last seasons woes on JL, then go ahead.
But when you cant stop anybody, whats it really matter?
Ill answer my own question.. I DOESNT.

JJ had a great game against ark a in the 2nd half long run was called back and passes were dropped. This after he only had a week of reps as a starter.

JJ played better in the Ark. game then then JL did in any game.

They will not split time JJ is our starter JL will not play and once RS gets playing time he will be 2nd.. I doubt Lee will see the feild at all.

Lee did not get on the feild in the Chick bowl
why would he play now.

BT I'll wager that jj does not split time with Lee in the wash. game if I'm right you quit the rant and vice versa!

I'm not talking about clean up work in a blow out
I'm talking about 1st quarter playing time.

Taking the field doesn't mean significant playing time.

Lee will play mop-up in blowouts and in the event that Jefferson suffers some kind of inhibition.

Damn BT you loon, you are still stuck on apologizing for JL at the same time you are branding everyone who says that JJ should be the starter as a JL basher. Give it up you obsessed nutcase!

How many more threads like an obsessed nutcase are you going to start on exactly this same idiotic topic? Give it up man...Miles has settled the issue, JJ will be the starter.
