Well also remember against N Texas, Hatch was starter. Lee did not come into game until 2nd Quarter and 4th.

still doesn't tell me why he was 10/18 for 80 yards

Yes obviously... because I do not think 1 player is to blame for 4 losses. Its a team game, as I said earlier there is many things that effect the outcome of games.

To sit here and blame 1 particular player for last years failures is ignorant. It was a combination of alot of things.

Well how much do you expect from 3 series as a QB?

Hatch was 10/17 with a INT
Jefferson was 0/1

Never said it was all his fault. I just said he fricked up a lot. I really don't understand why so many people take up for him.

that post was directed more towards Roaad...

I can say I take up for him because I got tired of the constant bashing he gets. I have never seen so many people blame one player for everything that went wrong last year.

Was he a great QB? No obviously not, but as someone mentioned he had some good moments. The bad ones just out weighed the bad.
He was a freshmen redshirt or not he still was a freshmen seeing his first action since high school.
I expected him to struggle last year so I was not surprised when he did. I just did not anticipate the defense struggling like they did to compound the QB issue.

yes, because he threw so many pick-6's the defense rightfully just said the hell with it and quit working hard...I can't blame them at all.

I feel the exact same way, and I would add that I didn't expect the O-line to get tossed around like rag dolls against Auburn, Florida, & Ole Miss either. Given how bad the defense was against Georgia, those were 3 losses no matter who is playing QB. As for Alabama and Arkansas, shite happens--especially once a losing spiral has already begun.

Really, the only legit argument about how JL made last year so bad was that we lost against Bama. That's it. Bigger QB-caused calamities have happened to LSU football.

why would say that?...b/c you have a idfferent opionion on this topic than myself or CBlack?

ITs not good enough for some of you that a SR leader of this football team has said that this isnt a one man race for qb playing time, as MANY of you on this board proclaim.
Some of you can not fuking stand it,,, you despise JL that much.

FWIW, your not arguing with me........ Its not my words, it's Ciron Black's.
These qb topics or posts that I make have ZREO to do with who should or shouldnt be the starter.
All Im saying and have ever said is that both JJ and JL are capeable of starting.
SOme of you absolutley can not stand to hear that.

and I put more of that on Crowton. Danielson pointed out the bad plays before they happened, saying "you just can't call this play in this spot"...and that would be the play we would run. First series, 3 and 14 from inside the 20 you need to run the ball and punt.

I think this years team can be very good with JJ playing all the snaps

I think they can be great with contributions from both JJ and JL

sad that some can't move on and understand that people in all walks of life can improve from their mistakes

As I posted in a previous thread a few days ago, people seem to have forgotten that Colt David missed badly on two chipshot fg's against Bama and Arky, both of which would have been enough to win both games in spite of JL's miscues.
Now can you blame Colt for those entirely? No, because they may have been missed as a result of a bad snap or bad hold or some other reason not obvious to us. But none the less they cost us the games every bit as much as JL's int's. And since JL didn't even play against Arky, where do the haters place the blame for that one? Yeah, I know, those sorry-assed co-dc's. Never mind the dumb-arse penalties by Tyson Jackson and Rahim Alem that kept drives alive for Arky.
The point is that no one player wins or loses a game by himself. It is a team effort and no one but the players and coaches know what actually happened on any specific play. Unless a player so blatantly tries to screw up and lose the game, to place the blame on any one player is entirely unfair.
shite happens! Last year, a LOT of shite happened for LSU!

its time for that What-If game I guess....

We were an 8-5 team last year simple as that...

What if RP would not have been retarded and stayed on team?
What if Miles had hired capable defensive coordinators?
What if Andrew Hatch had not gotten hurt?
What if some of pick 6 had only been INT?
What if receivers would have caught some of their drops?
What if Bryd had give 100% effort every play of every game?
What if our DB's had picked off a couple more instead of through their hands?
What if we used powerade instead of gatorade?

This is just another example of you going to extraordinary lengths again to apologize for your idol. Well at least you didn't personally attack everyone as you usually do by labeling everyone that said that JJ should start is a JL basher at the same time that you yourself along with BT are obsessed JJ bashers. Thus, I suppose it is somewhat an improvement.

Nevertheless, you can play what if all you want, but the reality is JJ threw 16 interceptions and a new NCAA record 7 pick sixes in less than a full season and he played his absolute worse in the big games when we needed him to play at his best. In other words, he had his fair shot to win the job, but lost it to a better quarterback.
