I watched the previous 5 shortly before going to the theater to watch this one last weekend

and it's definitely not the best of the 6. I don't even think it's top 5 in the 6.

The movie was garbage. I felt the director tried to make it a love story instead of capturing the plot of the book. Book 6 was not great, but it did fill in the backstory of Tom Riddle and Snape. The movie did not come close. Hell, the movie is title HBP and they barely touched on the subject of the book.

I was genuinely disappointed based on the departures from the book. How they decided which parts and characters to omit, what to fabricate and add in, and choices made to alter the story seemed odd to me, especially leaving out the fight near the end and the funeral. It was certainly slow enough to compress what was included and still keep those parts.

Perhaps the next movie will open with the funeral to bridge to this movie but I doubt it. And since Bill Weasley wasn't brought in as a character I'm sure the wedding won't be included.

I thought it was a little slow! I expected alot more action, but I haven't read the books. It was just based on what I saw in the previews.

But, it was still awesome. =)

I dont see how anybody who has actually read the book could enjoy the movie. There was simply too much taken out that is essential to understanding the 7th movie.

The background of Tom Riddle/Voldermort should have been included much more than it was.

The burrow wasn't set on fire in the book. Now how are Bill and Fleur to have their wedding? Speaking of Bill and Fleur, they were hardly mentioned.

The Fight seen at the end in the castle was left out, and that was the best part of the book to me.

The HBP was hardly touched on, which is ironic since that is the title of the movie.

There was too much teen love and too little plot leading up to the next mmovie.

And lastly, where was the funeral??? A main character dies and they completely leave him out. Although, they could start out the 7th movie with that since they are in fact making two movies out of the 7th book.

It will be interesting to see how much of the 7th book they can twist and change, resulting in the Harry Potter saga ending poorly rather than in a big bang like the books.

Love all the books and movies 1-5, but this really disappointed me.
