re: How was the crowd last night?

Sat in the south endzone. Very very loud. Crowd was pumped from the get go. Ole miss hushed the crowd early, but as soon as LF7 busted the first run, crowd was in it all game.
What Les needs to realize about modern football...

It is OK to change philosophies and move to a more open, spread offense. It's ok to not use two tight ends and a fullback. You can be efficient that way. But you don't have to scrap the grown man line up and run it at you offense. In fact, the really good teams all can still do that.
Hate to compare to Alabama....but look at Alabama. They are open and creative to start games. Open, but balanced. They run the ball out of a lot of different sets and have innovative ways to get playmakers the ball whether it is screens, intermediate routes, or the deep ball. But what do they do as soon as they get a decent lead? Pound your arse into submission with the heavy packages and run it down your throat.

His O-Line isn't great either. They're serviceable I guess, but undersized. In the Haynesville game I mentioned earlier, Haynesvilles d-line dominated the first half which is why it was 8-8 at half. Difference was, they got tired and Devin didn't.
Don't want to talk down on the kids especially since I know a few of them. An awful lot of his yardage is after contact, or making a couple guys miss and then simply outrunning the entire defense.

Still playing some linebacker.
First game vs Haynesville, he had 200 something yards and 4 TDs. One on a kickoff. Broke 1 for about 50 yards. Lots of carries in that one and was really grinding in the first half, then NW broke it open in the second.
Second week vs Homer had 2 TD, one on a punt. Didn't get a whole lot of carries in that one as NW cruised to a 28-0 win.
They play 4A Minden tonight.

I dont see how anybody who has actually read the book could enjoy the movie. There was simply too much taken out that is essential to understanding the 7th movie.
The background of Tom Riddle/Voldermort should have been included much more than it was.
The burrow wasn't set on fire in the book. Now how are Bill and Fleur to have their wedding? Speaking of Bill and Fleur, they were hardly mentioned.
The Fight seen at the end in the castle was left out, and that was the best part of the book to me.
The HBP was hardly touched on, which is ironic since that is the title of the movie.
There was too much teen love and too little plot leading up to the next mmovie.
And lastly, where was the funeral??? A main character dies and they completely leave him out. Although, they could start out the 7th movie with that since they are in fact making two movies out of the 7th book.
It will be interesting to see how much of the 7th book they can twist and change, resulting in the Harry Potter saga ending poorly rather than in a big bang like the books.
Love all the books and movies 1-5, but this really disappointed me.
