Saw it today! Predictable, but what romantic comedy isn't? I liked it though! Would recommend seeing it

Just watched "The Knowing"

Now feel dumber
I thought it was a little slow! I expected alot more action, but I haven't read the books. It was just based on what I saw in the previews.

But, it was still awesome. =)

I'm a little behind everyone because I DVRed this but most of those men proved what POS they are. I'm sorry, "mancode" is for high school boys. Those men need to learn some respect for women! It seriously made me sick.

re: Seven pounds

I was curious how they got the title and looked it up. Thought it was interesting...

The title "7 pounds" is derived from the expression "pound of flesh" which in its original meaning refers to a terrible burden or debt which has to be repaid by whatever mean. Originated in Shakespeare's play Merchant of Venice, 1596.

In this case Will Smith's character feels that he has to pay a pound of flesh for each of the seven lifes lost in the car accident for which he felt that he caused.

I SWEAR I would apply for the bachelor if I new Jake would be the next one. I really would.
I didn't like this movie. I thought it was incredibly boring and I usually like deep and meaningful movies/plots. What is it about this movie that I did not get? What do people love about it so much?

I saw this movie today. I laughed the entire time but it was pure TRASH. And the swingers scene. . . :yack:. I think I was laughing in more pure disbelief than anything. There were some things that should have been left out: swingers, swinging/talking penis

NOLA brunch

Posted by NOLAStar on 7/13/09 at 12:06 am
What are some good, more casual places in NOLA for brunch? Something along the lines of The Blue Plate and Surreys as opposed to Commanders or Court of Two Sisters. I have already been to the ones mentioned as well as Lucy's, Cafe Rainey, and La Paniche.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Grad dinner in NOLA-- Muriels???

I'm looking for suggestions for a restaurent to celebrate graduation in New Orleans.

I would like to go to a restaurant that has a variety of options, meaning not just primarily seafood entrees as I have a family member with an allergy. I realize this is a little tougher to find down here in NOLA!

Also something nice. If it's pricey that's ok, but not extremely pricey (Commanders Palace = too expensive).

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!
