Anyone watch this show on MTV?

Take away my Man Card if you must, but I just watched the season finale and it has brought hope back to me for today's youth.

I don't know how you can say "hope" with that show.

I have seen 3-4 of them and the one that just killed me was the girl named Whitney. She looked about 14 (may have been) and lived with her pregnant mother and her boyfriend in her grandmother's house. At one point, there were 7 people living in a 2 BR - including the babies. Oh well, it will be cool one day when her 18 year old son gets fricked up with his 18 year old uncle.

I'm assuming that was the one where they were considering adoption. I'm going to further assume that they DID give the baby up for adoption.

The Season Finale was the complete opposite of the rest of the shows.

It showed the 16yr old mom & dad struggling with the decision to give their baby up for adoption and also having to deal with their LESS MATURE parents who were pressuring them to keep it because "all that baby needed was love" and it would be ok(according to the parent's warped way of thinking).

In the end they found a wonderful couple for the baby. The 16yr old girl's Mom wouldn't sign the adoption papers, so by law, they couldn't legally hand over the baby on hospital grounds. They had to walk a block away and hand the baby over to the adopting couple on a street corner.

The 16yr old dad wrote a letter to their baby that showed how mature he was in his thinking, seen here. During the show he was shown arguing with his Dad, who was fresh out of jail. His Dad was pressuring him to keep the baby saying "All that baby needs is love" and the kid fought him saying things like "we can't provide for the baby" and "why would
I want to subject a baby to this crappy life".

Both the young parents showed maturity and wisdom FAR beyond their young years.

yea the season finale was not at all like the rest of the show.

there were 2 or 3 episodes where they had decent kids who actually seemed like they could handle the responsibilites...the rest were trash

Just read the letter. I will have to watch this episode now. I'm glad they at least had one episode where the kids made the most mature decision. I can't believe a 16 year old boy wrote that letter, he is very mature. I really hope the adoptive parents keep that and let their child see it when she is older and finds out she was adopted.

NO 16 year old, in 2009, needs a child. None of them were fit parents, in my opinion.

Nurse,

It seemed like the adoptive parents were willing to have an "open" adoption like that...

When the baby was born, the adoptive Mom gave the birth Mom a bracelet that she said they could both wear, and she had a third that she said she'd give to the baby when she was old enough to understand.

You can watch the full episode on MTV HERE.

I actually saw this show the other night. It was Jerry Springerr in the making. One of the funniest shows I seen in a while.

Grandma had pregnant daughter and her boy friend living in her trailer with her

The Daughter had her prgnant daughter and her boyfriend living there as well

The girl looked to be 13 and the boyfriend harldly had a job

They tried to rent a house with no income. The realtor laughed and shut them down on TV

The girl and her boyfriend found a penis mug while digging in grandmas dresser. They tried to make fun of it with granny but granny bout chewed her a new arse on TV

Granny was getting kicked out the trailer and was worried there would be no where to live.

No one had jobs worth a shite

Granny slept on the counch and they showed the moms boyfriend once sprawled out in a bed like he owned the Pussy and the Trailer.

I would have been floored if they had qualified to rent that property. The realtor, as you said, was all but laughing in their faces. I'm guessing the boyfriend grossed 500 a month, maybe 6. That house was 550. The 14 year old-looking girl is obviously not 16 because she sure as hell wasn't talking about getting a job.

the red haired dancer girl one where she had the worthless dirtbike boyfriend seemed like she could take care of it

the most annoying was definitely the cheerleader girl. she was the most whiney annoying bitch who seemed like she just wanted to have the baby as an accessory

And her mom was annoying as frick. She seems like the type who would be overly concerned with what the neighbors would think about her daughter having a baby.

I've watched several episodes with my wife. There seems to be a common theme - all of the parents of the pregnant teens are completely irresponsible, insane screw-ups. Luckily that couple on the finale was able to overcome because the rest weren't.

The best part of the episode was the fact that they are step siblings.

This is true, but they were together long before the parents married.

As a mother at 14 I know it is possible to give your child a great life even if a teen parent.
