PG Crosschecker Tournament of Stars Day 3
quote:

Garin Cecchini (Barbe HS, Lake Charles, LA) definitely passes the eye test. He posted a 6.90 sixty and took a very good batting practice. Both of his hitting tools project well. His dad is the head coach at Barbe HS and he shows good feel for the game.

Baseball Rumor Mill Profile
quote:

Strong athletic build, some projection remaining. Classic LH'd swing, pulls and lifts, creates excellent bat speed, ball jumps off bat, serious home run juice, repeats swing well

Under Armour Game Profile
quote:

Cecchini is athletic at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds. He has good power from the left side of the plate. In the field, he’s fundamentally sound with a good arm, above-average speed and he plays the game hard.

Scout Profile

Hattiesburg American
quote:

Jones has committed to play college ball for 2009 College World Series champion LSU, and he says he plans on going to Baton Rouge no matter what happens next summer in the Major League Baseball draft.

"I'm not worrying about (the draft)," Jones said. "LSU is a great college, and they've got a good program. I'm excited about it."

PG Crosschecker Tournament of Stars Day 2
quote:

Shortstop Jacoby Jones (Richton, Miss.) looks like a potential five-tool talent and a possible early-round pick in the 2010 draft. He hit third in the lineup for Dixie Baseball, and though he went hitless in five trips (two walks) in his team’s 13-5 win over PONY, he showed all the potential, especially in BP, for above-average power and hitting ability. He also ran a 6.60-second, hand-timed 60 on grass, the second-fastest 60-time recorded.

Jacoby will be playing in the 2009 Aflac All-American game

Bio from Aflac Game

Under Armour Game Profile
quote:

Jones is an extremely good athlete that is exciting to watch. With a strong arm and a wirey frame with quick-twitch muscles, Jones has the tools to play multiple positions, including shortstop, third base and center field. He’s an above-average runner with a high ceiling and has a verbal commitment to Louisiana State.

Koziol has a big, strong frame that produces some raw power from the right side of the plate. He has good hands in the field to go along with a solid throwing arm and he runs a 7.2-second 60-yard dash.

Eades would possibly be the #1 HS prospect if not for his arm injury

Eades is good, but he isn't that good...not even before the injury.
