Not many things in life top Sunday lunch at Galatoire's (not the bistro) Went this past Sunday for lunch for the first time in 5 years. Atmosphere, great bartenders, Filet Bernaise with Creamed spinach, fantastic service. No flip flops, ball caps or cell phone yackers.

How about Friday lunch at Galatoire's?

I went there for the first time with a group of friends a couple Fridays ago. We had a great time.
However, a fight broke out between two 45-50ish year old guys at a table next to us. One guy slammed the other against a wall, then told him to come outside, and a couple of friends and I ran out to break it up. Definitely funny to be breaking up a fight at Galatoires... I think the old guys were mad that their drunk wives were hanging around our table, but why they chose to fight each other, I'm still not sure.
It's interesting to be sitting and drinking with the same group from 11:30am til 4pm cause you can tell almost the exact time where everyone goes over the edge of drunkenness.
