Say what you want about Brandon Jacobs trucking Laron but he had to get sow low to do it that he was not actually able to keep his balance and only gained 5 more yards after the collision.

That's what a power back does. They drop their shoulders and get low. If Jacobs would've stayed any higher, LaRon would've had a better chance at standing him up.

Did you watch the video? Dick was in front of him when he put the block on.

Yeah, but watch where he hits him. It sure as frick ain't from the front. I've slowed down that video a bunch and he just barely catches the side of Jones.

Front/side, clip or not, either way it wasnt from behind, and Jones went down hard.

What is your point with this??? Are you trying to say that Jones is soft or something?

Not at all. Someone made a post that he caught up to McFadden (which I didn't deny), I just added that he got leveled.

McCray is a pretty decent tackler. He can't cover worth a shite, but he can make tackles in space. Finding a role that fits him and utilizes his strengths is the problem.

Watch is again. Jones was off of his feet starting to lean forward to dive.

I don't expect you to have an advanced understandings of the principals of physics but if you have ever strapped on a football helmet and had to come towards the line of scrimmage with your body under control (because you know, running backs are actually allowed to juke DB's)and tackle a guy coming at you full speed with a 65 pound weight advantage, you do realize what the outcome will be.

Who wins? No one.

Tiger Stadium splits in two from the impact, like the San Andreas Fault.

in all fairness, did you really look at that video? Jones almost and reaally did run McFadden down from behind and was stretching out to pull him down when he got hit.

If he's runnin full steam ahead before he stretches out, he probably runs the frick over whoever that was that blocked him.

I never denied that he ran him down. Just ponted out the fact that he got blocked and wound up on the ground.

Wow, Im starting to see what people mean by purple and gold glasses.

no argument from me there, he is just not a heavy hitter, you know someone that will bring the lumber.

Here we go with this bullshite. I've played football before, and I do understand the principals of physics. Brandon Jacobs is a bruiser, no matter what you say. He's always played that way. I've watched him from the time he was at Assumption until now.

Nah, he doesn't have the tenacity to be a heavy hitter. He lacks the explosiveness that Chad Jones and LaRon Landry have, too.

I wish he'd bulk up a little bit, because you could play him as a hybrid LB, much like Harry Coleman. Let him roam in space and play the weak side.
