It was obvious listening to the commentary who they were rooting for. In the 5th inning of game 3 when Texas tied it up it was really bad. Watch the replay and you will see what I am talking about if no one mentioned this before.
Even after the Tigers pulled away they were nowhere near as complimentary.

yea, i'm sure ESPN was cheering for Texas...
it amazes me to hear how many fans with purple and gold glasses think everyone outside of LA is rooting against us. grow up.

BTW, I also didn't think that the announcers were pro-UT either. I thought they called a very fair series.

I thought the announcers all but gave us the trophy in the games leading to the Texas series. They were always talking about Gorilla ball and absolutely killing other teams. I thought they were fair.

It is Mike Patrick. Really. His style can't seem to come off in any other way other than he is crawling up [insert team]'s rear.
He toggled back and forth from what little I've seen/heard. I was at the games and haven't watched the full telecasts.
I like Orel just fine. I prefer Kyle P.

fwiw....you read Texas boards and they keep begging for ESPN to get off LSU and LSUs fans nuts....been watching it on tv today..they seem to be very fair
