Have you heard if Bradshaw, Hanover, and Landry are still planning on playing up there?
Posted on 6/26/09 at 12:18 pm to MOT
not yet. Its up to Mainieri and if they can plug them onto teams. The season is well underway up there but they will find leagues to play in unless he wants to shut a player down for the summmer.
I would expect all three of those players to be doing something however.

What are the chances of Bruening ending up at LSU? I know he was a JUCO guy and I think he was drafted. Anyone with inside info?

he went in the 35th round I believe to the Yankees. Granted they are the highest paying team and he is a JUCO, but he was only a sophmore this last year and has two more draft chances if he decides to come to LSU.
I honestly believe we will see him in an LSU uniform next year unless he settles for something in which I think will under value his true potential. He could have a great year on a standout team and skyrocket his stock for the 2010 draft.

who will be getting looks at 3rd base next year, provided that Hanover does indeed move to 2nd?
I have heard that Dozar has been told to play 3rd this summer. Delatte is a former shortstop. Didier has also been mentioned, and today someone said they even heard Dishon as a possibility.

Mainieri is going to tryout the whole team over there. Fact is Didier/Dozar/Delatte haven't put together a full season in the SEC let alone at 3rd.
Hanover is going to be a stud over at 2B, that's his true position.
I think Dishon will win a spot in RF if Dean isn't already out there. It will be a very interesting offseason I can tell you that.

Landry and Bradshaw are still listed on the Harwich roster (along with LeMahieu).
Hanover, Gibbs, Ross, and Ranaudo are listed on the Y-D roster but Ranaudo is supposed to be shut down.

Adam, I read that Bruenning was actually a 30th round pick last year? So I would think there's a good chance he comes to LSU if that is true.

if dean plays outfield, it will be in left. he has nowhere near the arm to play right. all signs are pointing to dean playing 1B though.

Bruening will be at LSU in the fall unless he gets some incredible offer which I don't see happening.
What I meant to say was if Dean isn't in a spot in the outfield then Dishon will be out there.

Yankees draftee news
Fggn Yankees better quit screwin around with our good players. LSU > NYY
quote:
Standing 6'6 and weighing 210 lbs, RHP Brett Bruening of Grayson County College in Texas has noticeable size and projection. His talent is also evident (bumping 95 and 96 mph), as hehas committed to play for perennial power house Louisiana State University next season. BA had this to say about him before the draft:
Heis still figuring out his delivery and command after missing two years in high school following elbow surgery. He also will have to develop reliable secondary pitches, as his curveball and changeup are mediocre. Pro clubs can't help but notice his fastball, but they may let Bruening spend a season at Louisiana State before investing heavily in him.
This pick reminds me of the selection of Justin Harper last year - a JUCO righty with fantastic velocity, but sub-optimal control. I suspect that, as with Harper, the Yankees are going to follow Bruening in summerball for the next two months, and then make an offer if his control improves, or if they see a flaw that they know can be corrected once in the system.

Do you guys think Chad Jones could become a dominant pitcher next year if Les let him?
Posted on 6/29/09 at 10:25 am to ProjectP2294
Dozar is leaving today to go play in Kansas, he will play third all summer. If he does wel he will get a shot.
