damn I thought he straight up went Zeph Zinsman for a moment and had himself a 3 run homer. I know i'm not that only one who thought it was gone!

I thought it was gone too. When I say the replay I realized he hit it off the end of the bat. But it looked and sounded like a dinger when he hit it.

If that kid could put on some weight and get better at the plate he would be sick. His fielding skills are ridiculous. Batting, atrocious. He got the sac when we needed it though.

I thought it was gone as well.

As much crap as people gave him for not hitting, without him on 3rd I don't think we win the series. He was absolutely amazing in the field for all 3 games.

I was studying for this certification test I have on Saturday and heard it - looked up and saw the camera panning I thought it definitely was a homer and I knew the bases were stacked.

I was still happy with the one run and one out...lol.

I jumped off the sofa when he hit it and thought it was going out. I was pulling for him so much. Hate to see anyone get in a slump like that in the series. Was thinking that would offset some of the slump. Oh well, he did get a RBI out of it that was important at the time.

if he was using one of UT's bats..then it would have been a HR.

The balls just flew off their bats every game

Doc,

I just meant how bad he was in the series. Wasn't he like one for twenty something. I didn't think he as THAT bad.

This makes me feel better I was running around the house yelling as soon as he hit it. Didn't realize it wasn't gone till my wife notified me it stopped at the warning track. That would have been so great for him to have that homer, but the sac fly was just as big for us at the time.

almost every decent hit in this CWS, seemed like it was going out just by the sound of the bat and the camera angle.

On a second note, am I the only one that thought that Mitchell's HR sounded like it came off a wooden bat? It sounded like a solid shot rather than the "ping" of aluminum.
