With the contributions he has made to both the football program, as well as the baseball program. Is he the best recruit ever?

I think he is probably the single best athlete in the history of sports, but trindon holiday is probably the best recruit anyway. He can play DE and run a 10.01 100. Blee dat.

Billy Cannon wasn't bad.

Billy Cannon was.

THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE IS A BETTER ATHLETE THAN JONES.

At the time they each were playing, Cannon was more dominant. The Heisman winner was a track star also.

Yep. Not a lot of guys around to this day who can run the 100 and throw the shot.

As for whether or not he was a better athlete than Jones, I am not sure that was the question asked on this thread. That's certainly not how I interpreted the question.

(Oh, and please don't yell. Way too early in the morning for that.)

What does that even mean? Best recruit ever? Wouldn't that be saying he is the best player in LSU sports history. Which player wasn't recruited?

Semione Augustus turned around the LSU basketball team and Faulk was the key to what has been continued by Miles...

Not sure exactly what you are asking, but CJ is certainly one of the best scholarships LSU has used, along with Trindon.
