id keep helenihi in to start for d but id tell him to crowd the plate and take one for the team. If we are up late he stays in down after 5 he goes out for hanover

Top 5 (DJ, Schimpf, Dean, Gibbs, and Mahtook) were 3-19 combined....that is .158

I dont care who you are OR who Pitches for LSU...you aint winning with that production at the top

Throw in 0-6 at the 8 and 9 slots, and that is a lot of outs together

Hanover in for Helenihi. Landry, Mahtook, Mitchell in the OF. The rest is easy to figure out.

Helenihi has one hit all tournament - as much as I love his defense, its not worth his performance at the plate at this point.

Landry didn't get a hit tonight but had some decent cuts, used his speed to avoid hitting into double plays, gives us an all star OF defensively, and while I hate to say it bc an out is an out, on his 2 strikeouts tonight he at least had hope of making contact, unlike some of the hacks Ochinco has taken.

1. Lemahieu - clearly our most consistent hitter
2. Schimpf - stymied this game but clearly needed at the 2 spot
3. Dean - not a great CWS but again, clearly needed at the 3 spot
4. Mitchell - playing well enough to take this spot against a starting RHP; we don't lose any appreciable power at the cleanup spot with this switch and Mitchell on base is more advantageous when he doesn't have to rely on the left side of our infield to bring him around
5. Gibbs - having a decent CWS, got a fricking hit in the bot 9th at least this past game
6. Mahtook - struggling a bit against UT but was having a damn good CWS prior
7. Ochinko - not setting the world on fire anymore but I definitely want him in the lineup
8. Nola - basically a sub-par hitter generally but I like his defense and unlike Helenihi he's proven that he can provide clutch hits during the season
9. Hanover - not hitting as well as he did in the regular season (naturally) but Helenihi is an offensive black hole and Hanover isn't incompetent at 3rd base; put him in the 9 spot because he's more likely to be on base for Lemahieu to bring in than Nola

Helenihi and Landry could certainly be well used as substitutes in the case of a late lead.
