SPOILERS
I don't think Bill is going to harm Jessica's family. I guess he must have an ability to wipe memories away.
In the episode, Eric says he needs to take Sookie with him to Dallas. In the book it is Bill that takes Sookie. I expect Bill, Sookie, and Jessica to go to Dallas.
Lafayette is obviously going to become a vampire.
It will be revealed that Maenads are the most powerful of all the supernaturals. According to mythology, they charge taxes to other supernaturals that serve alcohol. (Sam and Eric have to pay taxes to them)
Also in the book Elvis is Eric's assistant. He is mildly retarded because of the way he turned. I hope this doesn't get included into the show.
I also suspect somebody in Bon Tempes is a werewolf. I would be suspicious of Jason Stackhouse but I think Sookie is older than him (werewolves must be the 1st born).
I think Sookie meets another telepath while in Dallas, as well.

Prediction:
Sookie hooks up with Eric and they have telepathic, aryan, vampire children. They make a bid for world domination but are then denied when Lestat and Marius show up and kick that arse.
Bill is recruited by the chick from the Underworld movies to help in the battle against the Lycans. He agrees but then falls in love with a Lycan because he is, afterall, a big pussy.
Jessica becomes the first ever vampire supermodel, and playmate centerfold. She marries Hoyt but kills him when he gets old and ugly and she doesn't.
Seriously:
I don't know, I've been wrong too much so far. Just enjoying the ride.

Well, they didn't switch the body from Lafayette to the voodoo woman just to kill him 2 episodes later, so we know Lafayette is a vampire.
Other than that, I am not sure what the heck is going on since they are deviating so wildly form the books.

I think it is book 4, where something happens to Jason.
I am wondering if they will even introduce werewolves this season. Heck, they may skip them all together to save cash on SFX.

prediction
sookie will have to go do dallas, just like she did in the book, she'll meet up with the church of the sun and get in trouble there. bill will have to save her.
based on how involved jason is getting with the church i'm thinking he's going to be all involved in getting her to the church and trying to save her. Once he knows that everyone at that church is a fake he'll change his ways and aid in her being rescued.
not too sure if jason is going to get messed up by erick. could be a possibility.
i just read the first 3 books from the series and i'm really surprised that I prefer the show over the books.

I stopped reading after book 4. I get sick of Sookie whining in the books.

I bought the whole series, so i may finish it, but I'm in no real hurry to do so.
The author is a terrible writer. Really really bad.
The only thing I like better in the books is Eric.

It would stand to reason if they have a shape shifter, a vampire, a telepathic waitress, and whatever Maryann is, they would have a werewolf.

How many books are there in the series?

I just started reading the books b/c I really like the series. I'm in book 3 and am shocked that the series is so much better than the books.
Not that he books are terrible, they are just... simple. Must be somewhat entertaining b/c I keep reading them.

You will get tired of the style of writing. I stopped after book four.
