did we show little/no interest so that we didn't scare off lache?

OR

did we just not want him even though he was on the LSU bandwagon?

I think they had 3 RBs committed (including Calhoun), and felt that they had a great shot for Lache. So yeah, if we don't get Lache, it was a mistake.

Christine Michael wasn't what LSU was looking for?

Time will tell. It will be interesting to see what Michael does at A&M and who exactly we get at RB. I thought it was a mistake then and I think it is a mistake now. Nothing would make me happier than to eat a heaping plate of crow.

People forget about the Dexter Pratt fiasco.

Maybe the coaches thought that Pratt was a batter fit than Michael. Obviously if they had known what was going to happen, Michael would've gotten the offer over Pratt.

I wish him the best at A&M.

I think it was ok for LSU to pass on him.

Like I said, best of luck to him.

DD told me last year that the coaches thought CM was a soft runner ....so the interest was not all there from LSU's stand point...

DD said, a player who runs soft in HS most likely will always be a soft runner...

I found these comments interesting, and may explain his strange recruitment....Did Texas even off this young man?

He seems to be a top character guy IMO..from I have read on him..

Great thread.

I am totally happy with Ford and Calhoun.

Ford's video is encouraging for LSU's future at RB.

And if I am right, I think Calhoun will be a guy that LSU will see a lot of at some kind of RB or slot/speedy back position.....pleasant surprise?

It is crazy how we are CURRENTLY having trouble signing a 'speed back' though.

But it is not all said and done. Hopefully we will get Seastruk or Dyer (though they are not at all similar).

If you look at our RB depth NEXT year.

We are good with:
Murphy
Ridley (we have so many FB's that he should be an RB...plus he's had some positive mop up duty- hell, Ally Broussard couldn't do that)
Ford
Calhoun (read on the rant where he is up to 190 lbs -still a frosh too)

FB's

Dugas
Theriot
Allen
Worle

How? Nobody on here knows for sure which it was. Nothing will be settled.

That said, this is always a good topic.

It won't be settled till Michael's collegiate career is over.
