This Monday is our anniversary, and my wife's birthday is Tuesday. She has friends coming in town in a few hours, and her mom is coming in Monday afternoon. We will be doing something every night until about Thursday. So if we win the CWS this year, I will be watching it on dvr late at night. This Arkansas game was going to be the last game live I get to watch, now I can't. frick my life.

ETA: This is God's revenge on me for refusing to skip huge LSU football games in favor of a few weddings.

No, its not the end of the world. But it does suck to possibly watch on DVR something that hasn't happened in nearly a decade.

if she married you, she should have known what she was getting into. to her to accept it and get on with her life. and she doesnt want you to be happy...there are deeper issues

Why don't you take your wife to Omaha for her birthday this year? You could bring the friends too!

The fact that you agreed to this shite knowing that the CWS was going to be happening...its like not having a wedding in football season, just dont plan shite for those 2 weekends in June.

I had my own engagement party last Saturday night... guess were I was! Watching the game on the tube while mingling with the people.

You can always get a new wife, but you can never watch the 2009 national championship live again.

Funny thing is, she's pissed about it too! She'll be staying up watching all of the games as well.

Also when we planned the wedding due to all kinds of other circumstances, it was the ONLY viable option other than waiting almost an entire year again before getting married. If her mom wasn't coming in it wouldn't be such a big deal.

Are you suggesting you wouldn't be slightly frustrated as well?
