I am looking for some expert advise on the best place to get breakfast or brunch in New Orleans. I am looking for either a really nice full spread buffet with traditional breakfast items, or a nice traditional New Orleans brunch.
I was thinking about Brennan's for brunch??? THought opinions are appreciated.

Commander's Palace is seventy-gazillion times better than Brennan's and less expensive.

Pain perdu and Petunia's had the best, but I understand they are now gone.

I've heard good things about the jazz brunch buffet at the Royal Sonesta. Supposedly a huge selection. The restaurant there is called Begues, I think.

Agree on Commander's. No French toast when I was there, recently, but a fine brunch.
