trust me, he's a lock. he's being personally recruited by "the don" yanowsky, who is our ace recruiter. these other schools don't stand a chance one he gets to work on these kids.

He's going to one of the Florida schools. Probably Miami if he gets his way, and probably Florida if his mom gets her way.

So probably Florida cause mom always makes the final decision.

I really like this kid. He is almost a sure thing as you can get at the LB spot. Lynx, your thoughts?

I am tempted to call bust on this guy. I know everyone is on their knees for him because of the couple huge hits he has at the beginning of his highlight, but I am not as sold on him as 99% of America.

Just my opinion, I am sure many will differ as I expect.

ETA: I also always find it interesting trying to figure out which 5 stars will bust and which ones will shine. The statistics tell us that it is 50/50 boom vs. bust, so you know that some will not succeed.

I am already putting Lamarcus Joyner on my bust list. Kid has speed, but at 5'8 166 I don't see how a CB can be ranked 10th in the country overall. Again, many disagree with me.

I'll have to look through the 5 stars more as the year continues to come up with a list.

isn't it always 50-50 boom or bust regardless.

1 Seantrel Henderson -- barring injury, this kid is a lock to be a future pro. He is about as sure a thing as it gets.

2 Lache Seastrunk-- if he gets in the right system (which I think he will), then he is explosive. He won't ever be an every down guy, but he is electric. Everyone knows him, so no reason to extrapolate.

3 Darius White--Speed with great size. Needs to add on some weight, but this guy looks to be the next big thing. Natural athlete that is what every WR coach dreams about.

4 Marcus Lattimore-- I am tempted to say bust here. He plays on a great team which has gotten him a ton of publicity. He doesn't do anything spectacularly, but is very good across the board at the high school level. I don't think he will live up to the #4 overall player in the country. I think he will be good, but there will be MUCH better players (more than 3) that come out of this year's class.

5 Matt Elam--FML. Why does this kid have to go to UF? I just went through his film and it is some of the most impressive I have ever seen on BOTH sides of the football. If he were 2 inches taller he would battle Sentrel H. for #1 in the country IMO. He is a little on the small side (listed at 6'0) but that is literally the ONLY drawback to this kid. He looks similar to Andre Debose (quicker steps, and maybe half and step slower) on offense, but on defense his closing speed is the best I have EVER seen from a prospect. He is the true definition of an Athlete. At WLB, this guy has the speed of a CB but the ability of a big time LB. His size is the only thing that he could run into issues with at LB, but I still am not that worried.

The thought of having to play this guy 3-4 times sucks. Consider me extremely impressed (and those of you that know my posts...I don't get impressed all that often).

6 Jackson Jeffcoat--Freak DE. Most of us have heard his name for a couple years. He is pretty much a sure bet in the college game.

7 James Hurst--Great quickness off the ball, but at this point he just manhandles a smaller opponent. OL is tough to pick out of high school--he's got a solid 6'5 frame but to expect him to be a top NFL caliber prospect (which is what #7 overall should be) is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. The guy should be an awesome college player, but OL are just hard to project.

8 Jeff Luc--already said I am tempted to consider him a future bust.

9 DeMarcus Milliner--His name has gotten a lot of chatter over at TB. He is a great looking athlete with a lot of speed, but he is projected at CB, yet there isn't any film of him there. I think he is too high at #9 and I think he will drop as the year progresses. He isn't near the CB that Dre Kirkpatrick or Patrick Peterson were are prospects. Milliner will drop to the low 20s IMO by the end of the year.

10 Lamarcus Joyner--bust written all over him. I am not sold on this cat at all. 5'8 166 and #10 in the country? There are exceptions (and he could be one), but there are almost ZERO guys at CB that have ended up huge successes at his size. Bob Sanders is the one exception that comes to mind, but hes at Safety. I just think he is overrated.

11 Michael Dyer-- Great looking prospect. We all know about him so I won't go into detail.

12 Ronald Powell--athletic build that can play either DE or TE. I think he'll stick with DE and be explosive there. Needs to add a little weight, but his future looks bright.
--------
I'll get to these guys later, I don't feel like doing this right now.

When I say "boom" I am referring to their ability to eventually play in the NFL.

Going by the star system, 50% of 5 stars end up being drafted, around 15-20% of 4 stars, and the percentages decrease from there.
