UVA had one of the best lefthanders in the nation. We really struggled against him.

LHP, RHP, either one, I just can't get myself to even think about rooting for Texas...

What a pansy. "Better be rooting for UNC/Texas"

Why the hell should we be scared about Arizona State ?

Right and we had no trouble against him. I think at this point in the season it doesn't matter if the opposing pitcher is a RHP or a LHP. LSU seems to be on a mission and is extremely focused. We have already faced 3 pitchers with gaudy numbers (Ojala, Berry, and Hultzen) and contrasting styles. We've managed to get to all of them at some point in the game.

UNC and Texas both have outstanding pitchers as well. Alex White is as good or better than anyone Arizona State has on their staff. It doesn't matter because all these teams have studs taking the mound.

but look, others hit .250 against the kid, so its not like you couldnt hit him.

The one guy for Arizona State, opp are batting .196 against him plus those guys at Arizona State are more strikeout pitchers.
Hultzmen relied on contact and defense not really on strikeouts even though he avg 1 an inning he doesn't compare really. Plus I think we caught him on a day he didn't have his stuff. I mean he labored through batters throwing alot of pitches even though he only walked 1 batter.
We did our best work against their bullpen, even though they brought in Wilson (RHP) to finish it.

Arizona has 3 studs 2 of them being LHP
Plus White has strugged this year, 8-4 with a 4+ ERA prior to regionals

Of all the teams in Tourney ASU is really only one I see that could beat LSU, honestly.

Okay. The point is, no matter who we meet we're going to face outstanding pitching. Arizona State is no more intimidating than what UNC and Texas bring to the table. In fact UNC is the one, of the three, I would least like to see in the championship series.

Point being LSU is only 18-13 against Lefties on season... Arizona State has the better pitchers of the teams that have won on that side of bracket, they are a bigger match-up nightmare.

Brian Moran of UNC is as good a lefty as anyone ASU has.

True but I would not want to face Moran and White in a short series. White is as good as there is in college baseball. He can completely dominate a game. I'm not arguing ASU doesn't have excellent arms because they do, just that all these teams possess outstanding pitching talent. We're not getting a break regardless who we play. Personally I want Texas.
